I totally did not know (or perhaps I forgot) that the game was released on the GC. I might pick this up from ebay. It certainly was one of my favorites on the ill-fated Dreamcast.

but remember this is the very first CRAZY TAXI. only one city.
good for arcade retro fans. note: this has VERY first generation dreamcast graphics and is not very detailed at all. |

I certainly know its limitations. It's still going to be a blast to play.

That is possibly one of the funnest 10 minute at a time games I've played.

There are 2 places on the GC game...
Definitely one of my favourite 'Cube games, I really should play it again soon! I'd love to have a chance at playing the sequels, it's a shame they never got a GC release.

Ah, Crazy Taxi. An arcade classic on GC...
Does anyone know if the sequal were any good. I also heard the upcoming Fare Wars on PSP will be a port of the first 2 CTs.

Great game, it has so many sequals and clones which has tende to make people forget the original, but the original itself is a classic. Crazy Taxi 2 is only on Dreamcast so far (GC/PS2 never got a port of the sequal), it's more of the same and there are so many games like it, but if you're a big fan you'll want to get it. Crazy Taxi 3 is on Xbox and contains one level each from CT and CT2 and a new 3rd level, so that might be a good one to start out on if you're new to the series, but I've not played it so I can't tell you if it's a good version.

How does the GC version compare to the Dreamcast one? Worse? Better? I'd be interested in tossing a few bucks at it just to relive the glory. This along with Jet Grind Radio were my most played games on the DC.

Played Crazy Taxi on the PC quite a lot. It was one of those games you could pick up and play for only a few minutes and still always get a bit of fun from it.
