comics or comic book?

Comic books: I think B.R.P.D., The Goon, and Green Lantern are really good right now. If I were you, I would go to a local shop and pick out 6 different books and give them all a try and then keep reading the ones that you like.

Batman might be at a good jumping on point right now....check it out.

Actually I stopped reading and buying comic books a long time ago, don't ask me why...

Anyways, I have two series which I want to read.
Fortunately one is complete; I quit reading it at about half the way probably because the distribution was temporarily suspended because the Italian printing equalled the original releases, so the author was still writing the next volume. And it is...
BLAME! by Tsutomu Nihei

The other is one of the most classic classic of all classics....sadly I miss a lot of volumes but I'm sure that if I put just a little effort, I can find all of them.
Lone Wolf and Cub by Kazuo Koike and Goseki Kojima.

I really hope you know this. In case you were asking it's a very old japanese graphic novel originated in 1970 (!), and it was also made into a TV series, that I simply loved when I was a child. The TV series was known as The Fugitive Samurai in the US and The Iron Samurai in UK (In Italy it was simply Samurai).

And I must say that I find Alan Moore to be one of the greatest minds of these last decades' literature. I read so little by him but he is simply amazingly deep. So I guess his most well known works are firmly in my "to be read" list.

I think Dark Horse did a Lone Wolf and Cub 2100 or something like that.

I like Alan Moore but IMO the best work is currently being done by Geoff Johns. He actually in the past 2-3 years has brought back some of Alan Moore's ideas from the Green Lantern series. What I like about Geoff is his ability to figure out the characters. His work on The Flash was awesome and I wish he was still doing that series.
