I guess they would be slim to none, but since SNK developed it, and Capcom has released games on the VC, I think that it may happen someday, however Nintendo usually has the final say on what games will appear on the VC after all.
I would instantly download SVC chaos if it ever comes to the VC, but I'd like to know if it's possible at all we could see this game appear? |

Two things: A) If 41MB is the file size limit for all downloadable content instead of just WiiWare games, we won't see that unless Nintendo releases a storage solution and up the limit. File is to big. B) This would be a matter of SNKP and Capcom agreeing to release the game on the VC. Nintendo has say on what appears on the VC at a certain time, but the companies provide them with the content. A game like SvC I don't see coming until at the earliest, next year. However, since Capcom and SNK left off bad terms, we will have to hope that they make up a agree to release the game on the VC. |

I forgot that there was a size limit, hopefully they'll resolve it at some point in time, you brought up a good point with the SNK and Capcom relationship.

It's possible. We don't know if the size limit apply to VC games, plus, we don't know if the games can be compressed enough to fit within the size limit (the Neo Geo games out now used the 100 Mb cart). Also, SNKP release SvC on the Dreamcast and PS2/Xbox, so I have to say there's a strong possibility for the game to come to the VC. Just not this year (lol, we still need to see a steady flow of Neo Geo releases, we haven't got a Neo Geo game since January).

Secondly, at no point was there a suggestion the two companies left on bad terms. In fact a quick trawl will reveal SNK only recently released Card Fighters 2 on the DS. Though the cross-licensing agreement was more in SNK's favour than vice versa over the past few years, that doesn't render it null and void. Besides, SVC Chaos sucks balls. Garou and Last Blade 2 are the real prizes, and Waku Waku 7 if were lucky. Now that one is a real conundrum.

It was never out for the DC. Garou, Last Blade, KOF 98-2002, sure. Not SVC. However, the two Capcom vs SNK games did come out for the DC, and a cracking SNK v Capcom game for the NG Pocket Colour

I can't see Metal Slugs being the same size as games like Last Blade 1 and 2, Mark of the Wolves, Martimelee, and Samurai Shodown 4 and 5. Hmmm, you are right about SvC not releasing on DC though, man, I don't know where I got that from. Last edited by adroitone; 26th May 2008 at 03:23 AM. |

As for the relationship between the two companies, saying it's 'widely known' or 'reported numerous times' proffers little or no proof as to the validity of the statement. Offer something more substantial, and we'll talk.

sigh, well I can't find it anywhere on the net. I forgot where I first read it from (I believe someone referenced it on neogeoforlife forums, or neo-geo.com) but yeah, I can't find it. |

I'm not implying that you would make it up, but neither does that mean you were correct, nor that these vaporous net sources were accurate.
