I was mowing the grass along side the house when I spotted a large dark mass moving across the bottom of the siding. Upon closer inspection it was indeed a massive colony of ants. Instinctively, I turned off the mower and ran to the garage where I grabbed the insect killer spray and hurried straight back to the colony. Without any trepidation, I sprayed away at the ants, now on the dry brittle soil next to the house. One large mass and two smaller groups. I also sprayed in the direction of the hill....
