I could not find a thread like this so I made a new one.

Like the over/underrated threads, but this is for games that lived up to the hype. For starters:

Cave Story

The level editor and stuff helps it to escape being overrated (it wasn't exactly overrated to begin with)

Truly an awesome game.

Love that game. You've got me interested in trying out the level editor as well (I think it came in the 'Deluxe' pack I got the game in).

Have you obtainedall three endings, by the way? The final level for the 'Best' ending is a real challenge, it made my shoot button on my PC controller temporarily sticky! (In that if you pressed it down, it would sometimes stay down for a moment or two)

For those who don't know:

THIEF is like [insert random spy game here] but probably much better (it depends), you are an actual THIEF, and... it doesn't work on my computer!

I compare it to Perfect Dark/Goldeneye, but a lot more stealth oriented and old styled (think old sci-fi and you are somewhat close).

From what I know, there is 3 parts in the series, but I don't know if Eidos wants to continue this...

Thief: Deadly Shadows is one of the best Xbox titles I've ever played. Graphics, sound and atmosphere are brilliant. You are a thief who must break into homes, houses, castles, churchs, graveyeards, zombieships to steal anything you can. and theres a dark rotten school with insane monsters. that's a scene. great great adventure game. Best game on the system.

Thief Deadly Shadows is the 3rd chapter, I have but I can't play it because my machine isn't powerful enough, and it also lacks a DVD reader (!!!).

Anyway, it is THE stealth.
1st person view, your ears are your only ally.
And it's dangerous!

(of course I'm talking of the first 2 episodes + the unofficial sequel Thief2x and the millions of free missions on the net)
