Ahh, **** it, I'm going to just post a bit at a time with whatever I come up with. Here's what I have for now:
1 Age of Empires II: Gold Edition (PC)
2 Paper Mario (N64)
3 The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (N64)
4 Super Smash Bros. Melee (GCN)
5 Super Smash Bros. Brawl (WII)
6 Pokémon Silver/Gold (GB(C))
7 Pokémon Crystal (GBC)

8 Moero! Nekketsu Rhythm Damashii: Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan 2 (NDS)
9 Animal Crossing (GCN)
10 Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney (NDS)
11 Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney: Justice for All (NDS)
12 Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney: Trials & Tribulations (NDS)
13 Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney (NDS)
14 Super Marios Bros. 3 (NES)
15 The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (WII)
16 Guitar Hero II (PS2)
17 Rock Band 2 (Wii)
18 Pokémon Ruby/Sapphire (GBA)
19 Pokémon Red/Blue (GB)
20 Pokémon Yellow (GB)
21 Super Mario Bros. (NES)
22 Team Fortress 2(PC)
23 Portal (PC)
24 Lemmings (PC)

25 Audiosurf (PC)

Alright, I think 1/4 of my list should be enough for now. I'm 17 and from the USA by the way.

Despite my complaints about too many obvious picks there was never going to be any doubt that the original Super Mario Bros was going to be one of my nominations. It is simply timeless and never seems to age, its a game that can be picked up and played by almost anyone of any age. Short enough to beat quickly but always dragging you back for another go.

The GBC version is, in my view, the ultimate version of the game coming as it does, absolutely packed full of extras including a full version of The Lost Levels as a bonus and adding multiplayer modes, coin challenges, races and unlockable and printable artwork and music, plus a nifty map and the ability to save. The fact that you can now play it on the bus simply adds to the fun. These are the reasons I picked it over the NES original.

Many people don't helpfully include this helpful information in those fields. Just making sure I've got it covered.

Inspired in me a lifelong interest in Japanese Culture that will in a month culminate in a 3 week tour of the country including one of the real life locations of the game. Not many games can boast that kind of effect on someone.

If you finish this list after you get Suikoden II, that could be one of your last 9 choices.

Really? The screen was way too cramped for me. You'd just jump into random obstacles or fall of pits that you couldn't possibly see coming.

There's always Sega's Yakuza. Wasn't that made by the same people who made Shenmue?
