Default Banjo Threeie has been scrapped. 3D remake of ALTTP?

Apparantally Banjo has been scrapped (Probably 'cause they made a less than perfect dark that was critisized to the high heavens).

And Eija thingamy bob who's one of the head Zelda guys is interviewed in ONM and is quoted to have said "ALTTP was my first title and I'd love to do a 3D remake. I have suggested it".

I would hate a 3D ALTTP. Because IMO that's OOT. And I'd hate for them to ruin OOT.

3D ALTTP? That's the worst idea in gaming I've heard yet.

On the plus side, scrapping Threeie means Rare can get to work making a deal with Nintendo on those Rare VC games...

As much as I hated the character models for Threeie...

(ew)

... I must say that I really wanted a continuation in the series. As for a 3D ALTTP, no. Just no. How about Nintendo grows the balls to make another top down, 2D, heck 16 bit, new Zelda game.

I was looking forward to a new Banjo game, I couldn't really care less about this new idea.

Where did you hear Banjo-Threeie has been scrapped? It seems unlikely that a company would stop making a game just because a completely unrelated game that they made was criticised.

So Microsoft are really getting a good return on investment by buying RARE then?

I wouldn't mind a rehash of ALTTP, heck, maybe a few expansions to the game to make it even better would be great.

Well, it has been confirmed by Rare that Banjo Threeie is not being cancelled. Go home.
