Default Ban Notifications?

What gives?
It'd be at least nice if the responsible mod could inform the rest of the users when and why such a prolific member of the community has been, well, expelled.

I don't think people who get temporary bans would want their records exposed for all to see.

SKTTR was given a 1-day temporary ban last night. It'll expire tonight.

Of course only if the reason was some post that's still visible for anybody but might have slipped under most people's radar.

Ok. The status "banned" (especially in those big red letters) seemed quite infinite to me.

I agree, I think we need some kind of refinements to the warning/ban system around here. Maybe the user's title could temporarily be changed to a dynamic thing that states how much time is left in the ban, for example.

Yeah, a lot of other sites I've been to usually mention that a member is on "Temporary Probation", or "has been banned for so and so a time", or "has been permanently banned". I think it would be helpful if this site used a similar system as well.

And thanks for clearing up the confusion, Jogurt. SKTTR is one of the last people I would ever expect to get banned.

sometimes the most unexpecting could happen

and yea, good idea if we'd have some info about the ban itself

i was like: what the... when i saw him banned in a topic
i never think it wont ever happen to whoever, cuz some people can be weird sometimes, just out of nothing someone could change

What did you miss? SKTTR isn't banned.

This thread is just going to cause confusion, so name change-o-rama.
