ZeroWing do you think it'll ever happen, or would you care to see it on the VC?

We all know this game is famous for the "All your base are belong to us"; phenomenon, but I was wondering do you think Nintendo will ever consider releasing it for the VC just for kicks?

Also this game would probably be an import because they'd have to correctly translate it in English for you to understand it XD!

The beginning is basically all you need of Zero Wing and like you said most of us know the "All your base" meme. I don't think that one opening cutscene is worth 800 points.

Not to mention the fact that Zero Wing was never released on Genesis in North America, so even if we want the wacky opening Nintendo might decide to make us pay import prices for the European version.

Anyway, I would LOVE to get this on the VC just for the laughs (and another SHMUP, and your NOT changing my mind unless Cho Aniki comes first), but they BETTER NOT TAMPER WITH THE TRANSLATION!

The arcade game was released in America, but it didn't have the opening that would later make the game famous on the internet. The opening was made specifically for the Genesis/MD version, and that was only released in Europe.

(EDIT: And in Japan, of course, but that version was in the original Japanese so no wacky translation errors.)

for that line, id buy the game. but i checked it out on youtube and it doesnt look horrible. i have worst so id have to go with yes, i will buy it if it came out on VC.

I'd buy it purely for nostalgia cause I did actually own it as a kid.

I was crap at it though, dont think I even got past the 1st level

SHMUPs are just not my thing.
