I just saved and quit the game and upon restarting it my mirror doesn't work anymore?! Which means I can't get back to the dark world. Anyone know what I've done wrong?

You cannot use the mirror to enter the dark world, you need to enter it from portals found around in the world.

You need the Ether medallion located on top of Death Mountain in the Light World.

How do I get to the third dungeon in the dark world? I can only get to where I need to be (where the master sword was) in the light world. When I switch to the dark world there's no way there because of barriers.

In the Dark World Woods, you have to go in the underground sections of the dungeon, until you find the Fire Wand...then you can burn the wood thats blocking the entrance to the main part of the dungeon. This game is really easy...

Im thinking of getting this game. How long would it last for somebody who hasn't played the game before?
Is it a matter of a few hours before the game finishes like the majority of VC games, or will the story last a good few days?

Don't use a guide and play through it - it'll last awhile.

Have you played in Zelda games? If not, and you're not good at that sorta thing...a long time. But if you have beaten a lot of Zelda games and know a lot about it, then why haven't you played this yet?

It'll probably last you a decent amount of time if you've never played it before. Even more time if you're try to find all the upgrades, heart containers and items without using a guide.

But if this is your first Zelda game...then shame on you :P
Don't start off with ALttP. Go with LoZ, then AoL, then ALttP, then LA, then OoT, then MM, do you see where I'm going with this? And when you play Zelda games...you have to read the text and stuff. These games have stories, and they're very detailed. And Gannon doesn't exist, its Ganon, and Ganon and Ganondorf are the same person :big-boo:

Heh, good one! Zelda didn't develop much in the name of story until Ocarina or Majora's Mask. Scratch that- Link's Awakening. Original Zelda, Zelda 2, Zelda 3 story = minimal.

TP was my first and only Zelda game. I enjoyed it and it took me weeks to finish.
I haven't played any other Zelda games because I never had a cube or N64, I didn't have Link to the past on snes because I was young at the time and chose games because of the box they were in or because a friend had it and I liked it
I just bought the Collector's Edition on GameCube for £3.99, which doesn't include A Link to the Past and I am waiting for my GameCube pads to be delivered to play the Collector's Edition.

Link to the Past is well worth downloading and IMO the best Zelda game, if not the best game ever.
