Wii has no loading time, and the saving is done immediately compared to the black screen on GCN.
Using a GCN controller, you can even experience the exact same controls.
Otherwise there's no significant difference, so there's no need to get both of them if you already have one (even though I did, mwehehe).

The VC's version is better. It just needs a rumble feature.

For PAL users, the GameCube version is better as it runs in 60Hz.
By the way, the game only renders one in every three frames. So in 60Hz it runs at 20fps (borderline acceptable), at 50Hz it runs at 16.333... fps (which is a seriously bad framerate).
And you get Rumble on GameCube.

then why not just use a Gamecube controller and play the Zelda OoT wii Verison. so you get great Zelda play and a rumble feature. (Am almost positive that you can use the GC controller on the Wii Version of Zelda OoT)

Because the Wii VC version does not support rumble at all and runs in 50Hz for PAL-users!
Track down a Zelda Collector's Edition GC disk, it's way better value especially for PAL-users as all games on it play in 60Hz, it plays fine in a Wii (and remember you need a GC memory card).

Sorry, but Rumble makes up for the slow saving times. If the Wii one day supports rumble, then yes, it will be better, but for now, not in my opinion

One thing I always asked myself, but I think it wouldn't be worth 1000 Wii Point to find it out for myself.
So please tell me, as the Wii version supports no rumble feature,
what's up with the Rumble Stone you get from the Skulltulla house?
Did that nice useful item get the cut? Or has this just been rendered a useless gimmick now on VC?

Edit: well i know the gamecube controller works with the Zelda: Oot but i will try and confirm the rumble feature later on.
heres the webstie where it tells that you can use the gamecube controller. (look at the controller info)

well what i have figured it is that at first they is no rumble feature like it was in the N64 until you obtain the rumble stone. which then the rumble should be active but am not 100% sure. so if any one finds out anything different please post it.

Did no one download that game? I'm waiting for an answer.

I figured once I unlocked this feature that it would allow the Wii remote to vibrate, since the rumble function is built in for use in Wii games, but unfortunately that wasn't the case. Now I never played it on my N64 to know this feature, so I feel that I missed out a bit not having a rumble function. The only positive I can think of is that I like the layout of the classic controller more than the N64 controller.

I don't see why rumble makes a good game.

It's not that the rumble is a regular feature, it's an unlockable feature that helps you find hidden items, which with the Wii you don't have the ability to use it to find things. If you got close to a hidden item, the rumble pak would vibrate.

So can anyone can confirm this for me:
The rumble stone does nothing in the wii version?
I would wait to download this game until they update this feature.
(I can wait, I already have this on N64 and Gamecube)
I'd love the idea, that the Wiimote rumbles.
Then there's no need for a new Classic Controller.
But I want the prefect OoT experience, call me nitpicky, and I want rumble.

Correct, the rumble feature does not work on the Wii, which is unfortunate because I would think it would be something that could be done through programming with the Wii remote.
