...Or the PC engine. Whatever you call it.
Does anyone have one, or are they all just rare as hell and overpriced =/

If they're really super rare, then they're not overpriced. Supply and demand.

Where were you when the Economy began collapsing?
I assume it is because the TG16 didn't sell very well in English speaking countries and so there aren't as many of them in circulation. But thats a guess.

My economy isn't collapsing, thanks.

Bingo. Supply = low. The kind of people to whom the TG16 appeals are likely to be retro game enthusiasts, and they're not very likely to put their precious collectables on the market.

Let's start a politics thread! The Liberals won't win, though.

Well with Canadian and American elections coming up that might be a smart idea. The Liberals wont win.

They never sold that well here, so there's less to go around and they are somewhat in demand.
A couple years ago I bought a PC Engine and a big box of games at a yard sale for $10.
Between Ebay and Craigslist I figure I made about $300. This was the money I used to buy a Wii. :p

A lot of people at yard sales or on classifieds don't know the value of some stuff they have. That's how I was able to get my sweet GameCube bundle with games etc. for $30. Most of the time you won't find anything, but sometimes you can hit the jackpot.
