I've noticed that gaming sites have been hyping up these two racing games lately, one being Pure, and the other being Motorstorm: Pacific Rift. I don't know much about either, but they both look pretty cool.
I don't know much about Pure, but it looks a lot like last years Motorstorm, only with Six-axis control. I saw somebody play it in a kiosk and he looked like he was having a lot of fun. He had a buddy watching him, and you could tell he wanted to get his hands on the controller! I think it might be something to look out for.
Motorstorm: Pacific Rift is the sequel to last years' Motorstorm, but with a bunch of new elements added to the mix. Instead of the dreary deserts and canyons of the old game, now you're racing on a lush tropical island, which has more varied environment, and more risks. Like Excite Truck, you have infinite boosts that heat up your engine, and you must cool down that engine by driving through a pool of water. You have all kinds of vehicles, from dirtbikes and ATVs to big old truck and (I believe) 18-wheelers. When you have one of the smaller vehichles you have to worry about the rider, who can quite easily get knocked off, and the other vehicles aren't going to be kind to him either. It sounds like it'll turn out to be one smashing game!
So which one are you looking forward to more? Which one will be the better game?
