We all know that photos can be viewed on the photo channel
But is it possible that videos could
And what type of files would they need to be
Just a curious question...

No reason you couldn't test all this out for yourself. Also, google. Here we go, a few seconds of Googling revealed the answer.

So this means you could play movies on a Wii? All you'd have to due is go through the process of putting them onto an SD card and playing them from that.:lolo-spin:
Or you could put the DVD in your DVD player and watch the movie. Immediately. Without wait.:lolo2:

I could never watch a video in there, even after converting them to the specified format.

Hm, if someone find out how to do it I might even invest in a SD card to watch Naruto on my TV instead of the computer, I hate watching stuff on the computer, downtime on WoW you see ;)

I used software a while back to get videos working on the photo channel. Wii Video 9 I think it was...?

Yeah, I tried that out and got a few videos to play. They were just some two minute music videos. It was a pain in the ass to convert them but was neat watching them on TV. Converting a video bloats the file size to unacceptable ammounts, so until there is an alternative, I'll stick to photos.
