Why is it thathave an NTSC system and I have the same problem with my VC games not displaying. Isn't it only supposed to affect PAL consoles? The Z+A+2 interlacing mode isn't working so I can't fix it. When I start the game I only get sound and a black screen. When I go to the Wii menu, I get a frozen screen of the game but on returning to the game its still black. I've also tried redownloading with no success.
I have a Visio 32" LCDTV and the official component cables. So whats the deal here? Anyone know?

Do you have your Wii set to progressive scan mode?

I run my Wii with component cables into a RCA LCD HDTV and also had a similar problem (only with Neo Geo games). I use the code for interlace mode and it has fixed all my problems. Here is the process for entering the code correctly:
1. Start up a VC Game
2. When you hear the audio start and know the game has loaded click the
Home button on your remote
3. Go into the operation manual
4. Now hold A+B+Z and press 2 to enter interlace mode (you should hear a
chime)
5. Hopefully everything is being displayed properly at this point
6. To deactivate interlace mode follow directions 1-3 then hold A+B+Z and
press 1
hope this helps
