For being a pretty much perfect platform for this genre there have been surprisingly very few of these games available. And of those Advance Wars: Dual Strike was the only must-have title.
There are two upcoming titles I'm looking forward to: Panzer Tactics DS and Front Mission. From the sound and look of it the former seems to be developing nicely; hopefully, it will have the wi-fi multi-playability as has been announced. As for the latter, I overlooked that title until it was featured in the new Nintendo Power, which definitely gained my interest then. It is the only future Square Enix title I'm looking forward to. I could care less about Final Fantasy Tactics.
Oh, and Civilization. I hope it'll turn out well on the DS. =)
I wonder if there is going to be a Fire Emblem title for the DS. If so I would hope it to be more in lieu of the console titles, which boast greater depth than the previous GBA versions.
Say, has anyone played Age of Empires? What are your impressions of it?
