Interview with Masato Maegawa, President of Treasure.

more & source: http://www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3156213

1UP: Speaking of online services, Gunstar Heroes recently released on the Virtual Console. Are we going to see more Treasure titles on there soon?
MM: There are four of our Genesis titles that are legally OK to release on the Virtual Console now, so it's probably just a matter of time. We're also considering putting them on Live Arcade.

1UP: So when are we going to see Sin & Punishment?
MM: Ah yes, it was on the Virtual Console list that Nintendo released a while back. They are planning to put it out on VC at some point, but it's probably going to be a while still. It's really up to Nintendo in terms of how they want to stagger things out - they could probably put 1,000 games on there tomorrow if they wanted, but obviously they don't want to do that.

1UP: On one hand it's great to see all these games coming out on Virtual Console, on the other we're bummed that a lot of the Treasure games we've collected might not be as rare anymore.
MM: That's actually one of our concerns as well. Introducing the games to new players is of course great for us and for the industry, but the people that are most important to us are those who have bought our titles over the years - the ones who have been loyal to our stuff all along. We've actually had conversations internally about whether this is disrespectful to our hardcore fans, but hopefully people don't see it that way.

That third question bugs me a bit. I don't see why I shouldn't be able to play a game on VC just because someone else paid over the odds on eBay for the original. :?

Treasure is a cult developer; therefore they feel more comfortable with those who were with them from the start.

That and money of course...

And some Dynamite Headdy questions:

1. The last time I played I got a Continue (and lost it at Spinderella)...
What am I supposed to do, to get more Continues?

2. I need a good strategy to kick Spinderella.
That beast always hits me with it's crushing fist!
I almost got him, but then he got me!
If I could only get away from his fists....

3. Why should I remember the numbers in the Basketball mini game?

4. "You got a secret bonus point."
I'm trying to find them all on my many tries to get past Spinderella.
No, I don't ask for locations but I wanna know if you get something special for finding them all?

1. Get a lot of those thingies the bosses drop when they're defeated, until you hear "You've got another try".
2. Just run in the opposite direction from each punch that's being thrown at you (never stand still while he's punching).
3. It's a secret code for the very last super secret final level.
4. Well, they're just fun to find. I believe they only give you points after each stage, and that's all. I remember finding lots of them back then...

Why can't I get continues anymore??
I used to get one every time I defeated a boss, but now I can only collect 10 thingy's each time max :|
They just seem to pass through Headdy without him picking them up...
Any advice?

DYNAMITE HEADDY

Now I have finally beaten BABY FACE, what a relief! Whew!
I think I can beat him now as easily as SPINDERELLA...

Anyway, soon after BABY FACE... After a peaceful cow zone....the next GAME OVER KILLER BOSS appeared!!
Needless to say I lost all my continues and had to start over again. :/

So the new challenge is this jumping sukker. Any advice this time?
The biggest problem is to avoid his punching attacks.

I know I have to headbutt his face when he doesn't cover up with that DYNAMITE HEADDY GIRL. And I noticed, I can distract him by getting BOMB HEAD, but I cannot always get BOMB HEAD!!

And how can I get rid of that fat IRON HEAD? As soon as I collect this (by accident) I'm as good as dead.

Some strategies? What's up here?
Come on, where are all the people that downloaded Dynamite Headdy?

And after twenty GAME OVER's how come I start the game all over again and again?? ^^

You might want to get the hammer head, as it does a lot of damage.

There is no HAMMERHEAD...
There's just BOMBHEAD, INVISIBLEHEAD and IRONHEAD.

anyway i know how to beat him next time.
he focuses on Headdy's head.
So if he's starting his attack I just "head" into the air and he wouldn't catch my body. Yes, I'm going to try this now.

Kelvin, I'm right there with you. The answer to the third question sucks. How dumb would they have to be to support a small group of people who collect games. How about supporting the people who acually play games?

Yeah, but like he said he can't always have the same head, I can't help either because I haven't got up to that level, sometimes I even just have trouble getting past Mad Dog, the highest level I have ever got up to is 4-1
