The Stanley Cup starts tonight.

Game one is on in a matter of minutes.

So if you've never seen Hockey before, or if you're bored and can't sleep, or if for many other reasons you feel like putting a sporting event on. Goto Channel 5 or NASN if you're a resident of the U.K.

I have no idea what channels it's on in the states, but i'd guess ESPN or Fox or something.

As much as I want the Cup to go back to Canada (how long has it been now, 15 years???), the Ducks will win the series and all that money spent and draft picks traded on Pronger will finally make sense.

Still, Sweden is the best national team

Moved to the sports section!

Have to disagree with iNma on this one, I think the momentum is with the Sens and hope to see them lifting Lord Stanleys ungainly piece of tin. I mean...did they have to put the name of every players parents on there as well? Jeeeeez!

3-2, boys. RMA, I hate to say it, so I won't... aw, fine, I will. I told you so :D

Ah, but it's only game 1 iNma, the Sens could still win.

Personally I hope both teams get done for drugs therefore eliminating them, and putting all of the teams that they beat back into play, alongside the 2 teams that came 9th in the conferences. Then we just start from conference semi's again.

I dislike both teams. The Sens are dirty and the Ducks are http://www.neuroticfishbowl.com/smilies/a_sleep.gif

The Ducks don't seem to do anything entertaining. They're boring when they attack and they're boring when they defend.

At least you can get some good exciting defence teams and some really good exciting offence teams.

I know, I know, the series is far from decided. But I'd still wager my money on the Ducks; if the Sens had momentum, it's at the very least been halted now. And all in all it wasn't a bad game.

I missed it and the repeat. Hunting high and low for rare N64 games.

Thought of a cracking idea that was then shot down.

Really, really wish i'd just watched the game now.

Awwww....still not ready to give up the ghost just yet! The Ducks deserved it last night.

I knew I wasn't hearing any haw-hawing. So, 2-0 now is it? :D

Missed it again. You can really tell how much I care about these 2 teams.

Had it been pretty much anyone else who'd made the play offs, i'd have been interested. And had it been the Avs i'd have been glued to the T.V.

Getting tighter now, boys. Excellent game, and I have to say Volchenkov was the divider as far as I'm concerned. 5-3 in the end, and 2-1 in the series. Looks like I might not have it all my way after all :D

I'm still confident the Sens will deliver! only thing is...if it carries on going to home form that gives the Ducks the advantage...

Either way, a white-wash would be to the detriment of the viewers more than anyone else. I'd happily be proven wrong if it meant the Sens coming back after a 2-0 deficit.

I saw about half the game and it was a pretty good one.

...AND it's all but over. Need a miracle for the Sens to turn this one around now...

ah...there's always next year.

Didn't catch the game, actually working normal hours again :D

But having said that, I'm surprised they managed to overcome the Pronger suspension, I thought that was Ottawa's best opportunity to tie the series, and letting it slip through their fingers is, like RMA said, tantamount to the series being over. Shame.

I was sorting stuff out to go out today, so I missed all the action in the second. I'd look down to rake through my stuff and put the things I needed into a bag, and then the bloody horn would go off, lol.

I thought i'd only be 5 mins, but I missed the full second period :(
