Think Sonic & Knuckles will get a VC release?

Since we finally have all 3 Sonic games in NA, you think they'll release S&K as well? I don't see why not, considering it was the last 2d Sonic game to use the classic engine.

I wish there was a way we can use the lock on feature, but I doubt they'll re-release the same game only with a different character in it...

If they dont release Sonic 2 & Knuckles they should release at least Sonic 3 & Knuckles. That wasnt just a different character but more levels, Tails in S&K areas, The Complete Story instead of parts, The True Ending With Hyper Sonic, Hyper Forms and Super Form for Tails, New Areas in S3 thanks to knuckles (Nearly every level has something new. In fact i think every level does.).

S3K wasnt my favourite 2D Sonic game. My Sig proves that but It isnt far off my current favourite. Its a completly Awesome game and since SMC is hard to come by now then some people may have never played S3K and are seriously missing out.

They ll find a way I reckon. Maybe the download can indicate whether you have Sonic 2+3 downloaded or not and give you the S+K versions of the game with S+K at normal or slightly higher price.

Either way, I m guessing it ll come to Japan before the end of the year.

As to the lock-on thing, I'm sure they'll release the Sonic 2 w/Knuckles and Sonic 3 w/Knuckles also. Hey, anything to make money, right?

Heres what I think just might work...
You know how you can pick up a channel and then place it somewere else? Drag Sonic 3 and then drop it on Sonic and Knuckles, then you can play Sonic 3 and Knuckles, that way you can easily play Blue Spere, Knuckles in Sonic 2 and the besst of them all, Sonic 3 and Knuckles

That would require an update on Nintendo's side, for a SEGA VC game, so that's highly doubtful.

Maybe it'll work off VC Save files.... I think we'll get S&K but whether you'll be able to do the lock on feature... who knows!

The game alone will definatly get a release. But the game had a unique lock on feature. Using it you could attach the Sonic 2 cartridge or Sonic 3 Cartridge onto the Sonic & Knuckles Cartridge. Doing this allows for hidden features to be unlocked in the games.

Sonic 2 Locked On : Having Sonic 2 locked on allows you to play as Knuckles in Sonic 2. There isnt much different just a few extra lives added in here and there and Knuckles can glide and climb walls allowing you to reach unreachable places.

Sonic 3 Locked On : This is the real deal. Doing this lets you go through all Sonic 3's Stages then straight after go through Sonic & Knuckles' stages. Well whats so good about this. Well doing this you can play as Tails in Sonic & Knuckles' stages and you can play as knuckles in Sonic 3's stages. Thats not all. There are now all special stages from Sonic 3 and Sonic & Knuckles making 14 special stages. Doing the first 7 you get the Chaos Emeralds letting you go into super form with Sonic & Knuckles. Then doing the other 7 you get Super Emeralds giving you Hyper Sonic, Hyper Knuckles & Super Tails. There are also new areas now that you can reach with Knuckles in Sonic 3's Stages and New areas in Sonic & Knuckles' stages that can be reached with tails. You also get the complete story making a total of 14 zones (I think).

Sonic 3&Knuckles nearly makes my favourite but doesnt quite just cause there is something about sonic 2 i love. But it is really a great game.

But the lock on feature is also making it questionable to see if these games will get a VC release. Will it be released seperatly or will there be a new feature added that allows for you to lock on if you already have Sonic 2 or 3 downloaded. Personally i dont see any reason why this feature will not be included since without it the people who have never played the classic sonic games will not be able to experience the full version of Sonic 3.
