Mario's from Brooklyn? Lol, he lives in the Mushroom Kingdom. I'm pretty sure he was only from Brooklyn in the (terrible) movie.

I have to say I'm once again shocked at this site's review for this largely average game.. I think this incarnation of SMB has possibly aged the worst of the batch. I downloaded it but haven't been able to force myself to play it for anything more than 5 minute intervals. It's just boring.. At least compared to SMB 1, 2, & 2 (Japan). And the graphics are drab & fatiguing.

I'd give it a 3/5.. TOPS!!

It's right up there with SMW and SM64 as one of the best Mario games and even as one of the best games ever made. It's definitely the best NES game and still provides loads of fun even after all those years whenever you pick it up. It's even one of the best NES games for larger groups of people no matter how good everyone is. You just pass around the controller and let the hours pass by.

This is so near perfection...
