I'm quite tempted to get this, probably because it's a limited release.
Although I haven't completed SMB yet, I'm wondering if it's worth the 600 points?
(Damn you Nintendo, I was saving my 900 points for the Neo Geo releases!)

Does the downloaded game say "Super Mario Bros The Lost Levels"?
If so, somebody make captures of the title screen, please.

Oh, I don't care, I'll buy it right when it comes out! Unless it gets deleted when they stop selling it for some reason. I hope Nintendo doesn't do that, because that happened to me on a game site a long time ago.

I also hope this makes it to the US. I've never played this game and I have not bought a VC game in a while but I would buy this game.

I bought this game earlier. Its good fun and alot more difficult than the original. Im more of a sonic fan myself but this game is still fun but the difficulty can get in the way so 4 stars is the right rating IMO. I hope they dont do anymore limited games like this. Id hate nintendo if they do it for that Sin & Punishment game. Ive been told i cant get anymore VC games till christmas :( and that Sin & Punishment looks awesome.

It says it in the shop/wii channel, but the title screen is the JP SMB2 one.

^^ I'd assume so as it won't be available on the shop channel anymore. If you have an SD card just back it up on there in case you delete it.

I think what it means is that it will only be up on the main shop page for a limited time and then will be removed but you should still be able to access it via the 'my downloaded titles' section on the wii shop channel. Other than that, you could always use the SD card backup.

I was playing this on sunday and for some reason the screen was constantly jumping up and down. This never happens with any other 60hz games - has anyone else experience this?

Ok, the game seems to run fine on my other TV, so the problem must be in the TV. Poo.

So I scooped this up when it was released here in the States & I'd say I've averaged about 1-2 hours a week on it since & I'm PROUD to say that I can make it to the end of level 4:3. I can see the castle but I can't make it.. This game is crazy hard!! They weren't kidding. I had heard all the warnings but figured a seasoned SMB player like myself would still make short work of it.. Boy was I delusional!!
I'm glad in the sense that I know it'll take me ages to finish this.. Let alone 8 times & w/ alternate character variations.. I don't know if I have that kind of dedication, let alone the time.. But still, it's fun. Though, I've already encountered more than a worrisome amount of obstacles that rely solely on the chance of a flying turtle being where you need it to be when you need it.. So I'm concerned that the game may resort to even more cheap gimmickry in later levels..
I suppose only time & a lot of cussin' will tell..

You know, I was having a really hard time until I chose Luigi as my character. Now I'm just having a very hard time with it.

Does this game have the "floating" behavior of the first mario in gameplay? IE. Do you feel like you're playing mario 1 with harder levels?

Basically yeah, there's no difference at all gameplay-wise, although it's a lot more difficult obviously.

Well, that & the fact there is a minor differentiation between Mario & Luigi. Mario pretty much moves & feels like he did in the original while Luigi can jump higher but is overall slippier & feels like he's permanently on an Ice Level.
How far can you get Shoemaker?
