For me, one of the greatest games for Segas machine. I want this on VC very, very badly.

Is there any chance it might happen? It was an EA published game...not sure if any of their stuff has shown up yet. Or is that not important?

I must admit, I hadn't heard of this game, but the Mean Machines Archive rates it higher than Elite which is high praise indeed! It certainly seems like a memorable title, and I don't recall anything else like it on the MD, or on other consoles, to be honest (although home computers got similar games like Captain Blood and Supremacy, as well as the Elite series).

I don't recall a statement from EA about supporting the VC, but I'd be very surprised if we don't see their titles appearing down the line. They produced so many classics in the 8/16-bit era.

Yeah it was a pretty much ignored title, probably because it was so against the grain of what a console game was considered to be at the time. I got totally absorbed by it though. There are freeware versions available for the PC, but they're a bit poor in comparison to the shinier Sega version.

What an absolute gem this was. I would love to see it on the VC. So absolutely overlooked that everybody who owned a sega megadrive/genesis should smack themselves silly. EA has mentioned considering going VC with their games but it's been months now without word and even if they decide to release them on the VC then Starflight probably would be the last game they would release.
