Sonic Lookout : Sonic Glitches Video Series

This is just something for some of the sonic fans here. Some of you may have seen a series ive made on Youtube called Sonic Lookout and ive decided to post them here. I thought they'd fit best in the Megadrive/Genesis section since they are all to do with sonic's 2D outings. Anyway the series is called Sonic Lookout and its all about glitches in the 2D sonic games from the 16-bit era. Once ive covered that i will do 8-bit and then 32-bit and then Mega CD. At the moment there are 30 episodes and 4 Extra Episodes. I thought id post them here because some of the glitches are fun to do and for those of you who thought they'd squeezed every inch of life out of their Sonic games this will give you some other stuff to do. Some glitches are caused by debug and some arent glitches and are more secrets or cheat codes. Here is a guide and link to all the series so far.

Series 1 Original : Series 1 Original was the first lot of episodes i made. They are all based around Sonic 1. The presentation isnt as good as the remade versions but its nice to see where it all started :D. This series contains 9 episodes which cover several glitches of Sonic 1 :

Series 1 Remade : This is all of Series 1 remade. This lot of episodes cover the same glitches shown in Series 1 Original but its made much much better. Better presentation, Better Quality & a Proper intro make the remakes much better. Not only that Episode 9 has now been made into a special episode containing not only the glitch but a whole bunch of extras including the true ending to Sonic 1.

Series 2 : Series 2 had more episodes and a longer special episode. There wasnt just glitches this time round. There was also cheats, secrets and a whole episode showing facts on Sonic 1. IMO it improved upon the first series quite a bit. Before its release i also got a ton of emails and PM's asking when it was going to be released because people like Series 1 so much. Once again its all based around Sonic 1.

Episodes 21-30 : For this lot of episodes i didnt call them a series. For these episodes i decided that i will just release them when i feel like it. I wont release them in a big group if i dont want to but i ended up doing that anyway. This is the best group of eps IMO. It contains a bunch of episodes all based on super form glitches and also has a new kind of special episode. The theme tune has also been changed and it also has an advert for the series which alot of people loved. I also didnt call it a series because this time round i havent gone by game. Before i was going to do Sonic 1 then Sonic 2 then Sonic 3 etc but instead i decided to do what game i want when i want. This series has a mix of glitches from Sonic 2,3 & Knuckles.

Extra Episodes 1-10 (Incomplete) : These are just a bunch of extra episodes. They are basically episodes where i muck about with glitches i have already explained in a proper episode or they are just things which i didnt feel where right for the proper series. It includes 3 episodes based on fights with Mecha Sonic & Also a halloween episode which was created and released at the last minute.

Sonic Lookout Episode 31 - Birthday Special : This is it. Sonic Lookouts first birthday (December 7th 2007) and to celebrate ive released this brand new 10 minute long episode. 7 Glitches & 2 Secrets revealed in this video. Thats nearly 1 Glitch/Secret revealed a minute. Dont miss this.

I just wanted to release these here so for those people interested in glitches for the sonic series watch and enjoy and try some out for yourself. Also if you have any glitches you'd like to share feel free to. I know a load of glitches from the sonic games (And im also sticking to just the sonics from the megadrive/genesis for now) but in case i dont know one that you know feel free to share it.

You can do all of them. Except you cant go to the level shown in the Halloween Episode. That was a scrapped level and taken out of the game. I managed to play it because of a rom hack which i downloaded off the internet.

No, that's a custom level made by a Sonic fan. There was never a similar level in Sonic 1 or 2.

Its not a fan made level. There just havent been any screens of it.

Basically the design and look was fanmade but the level name wasnt. It was in the game at some point just removed.

Ive never seen that concept art before but it looks cool. But anyway i know that isnt what genocide city was going to look like but it fit in with the halloween theme.

There definatly will be more. There will be at least 2 released in December :

And after that its just when i get the time really. I havent given up though. I went like 4 months without releasing anything at one point then i ended up releasing 20 episodes :D.

Yay! Its finally here and im finally done. Today is Sonic Lookouts First Birthday and at midnight last night to celebrate i uploaded a new birthday episode. It has 7 glitches and 2 secrets revealed and they are very little known. Dont miss this ep.
