I really want to know if there's a way to delete the Chao garden on Sonic Advance. I've tried wiping my Sonic Advance data, but the Chao garden is untouched.
Is this possible to do?

You could try linking to a GC Sonic Adventure game, if you have one, and deleting the chao that way (or copy it to a Chao garden there, then it might start again blank), but I really don't know if that would work.

Whats all this chao garden business about? I vaguely remember something about a chao system in Sonic Adventure for the DC but I never bothered with it. Can someone explain what all the fuss is about?

Chaos are little creatures that u look after and u can change them by feeding them fresh live animals

Seriously, they absorb their energy and soul, so all that's left of the animals is their brainless body, moving randomly.
Yuji Naka said so in an interview with the devil.

Um, O.K, whenever I got a animal on Sonic Adventure I always thought that I was saving them:p (I'll never look at my chao the same way again)
