I would like to play Harvest Moon again on the Virtual Console, also Super Mario RPG, Super Mario Kart (i never played the SNES version) and Super Mario Allstars.
But i think Super Mario Allstars will never released on the VC...
What are you're wishes for SNES Games on the Virtual Console?

Super Mario Allstars was just a compilation of the NES games, wasn't it? I'd expect them to be released as single NES games, for maximum cashage.

I loved Super Mario Kart. I wonder if they will ever add wifi connection to any of the older games... I'm sure there is a way they could do it, even if the games are just emulated ROMs. Some of the older games, SMK included would reeeeally benefit from Internet play. But then again... we never had it in the good old days. 8)
Super Mario Allstars had hefty graphics updates if I remember correctly, just because the SNES could do it. So they could probably sell the 'improved graphics versions' of the NES games.

2. Earthbound (...currently I'm waiting for Mother3 I bought online)
3. Super Mario RPG
These are just the most desired, Metroid being on the very top of the list.
I also have titles on my wish list which I'm hoping for, but I fear I'll never see Flashback or The Chaos Engine (yes, back in the days I was an Amiga owner).

I'm sure they would "have" to up the price if they added WiFi play to the VC games. Still... a game like Super Mario Kart would sell through the roof if it had online play included. I know I'd buy it for sure.
Super Mario All-stars probably will be released, but I'm sure it won't happen until all the ordinary releases of the classics have had a good run of their own.
Games I want for VC:
Chrono Trigger
Shadowrun

There are fan translations of Seiken Densetsu 3/Secret of Mana 2, really good ones at that. Wouldn't Square be free to simply put these up on the VC? It's their property after all.

27th April 2007, 08:10 PM
Yes, there was a SNES version of Knights... I've only ever played the arcade version though. Oddly for an arcade game, I found it very, very easy and had no problem finishing it. Maybe the cabinet I played was hacked in some way, as it's hardly good business to make an easy arcade game!
That said, I could get through to the last level of Golden Axe on one 10p too.

Old Rare games can come out, but it's up to Microsoft as to when and where they come out (as MS own Rare). So it's unlikely we'll see most Rare games on VC. Battletoads is one of them; we're more likely to see that on Xbox Live Arcade than VC.

RMA never lets me down with the priceless quotes. Assuming that you're not being coy, that's the Ryu avatar from Super Street Fighter II and SSFII Turbo. The animation is what happens when you choose to continue; he wipes the blood from his chin and gets ready for another fight, as it were. If I could make it sound less stupid, I would.

Well, like most people, I'd be thrilled to have Super Metroid as well as the original Metroid hit the VC. I also really wanna see the numerous Mega Man games appear as well.
But one game I'd love to get my hands on one more time is Capcom's Demon's Crest. Now that there was a fun game. Hey, anything with a zombie dragon, right? It would just make my day if Nintendo would be kind enough to make that available on the VC, it really would.

Metal Warriors:
This game was beautiful and had what was 6 different mechs to pilot? Each had all kinds of abilities. There was that spider one that could walk on walls, the sphere one that rolls around and can open up into a turret and a few other cool things. The singleplayer was pretty awesome but then there was also multiplayer head to head. It is simply great.
Super Metroid:
Though I recently purchased this game off eBay (and loved it), it would be nice if all the people who can't use eBay or are too cheap to buy a cartridge version to get a chance to play too. :)
Super Punch Out!!:
This game is the best boxing game out there. It's kinda puzzle and boxing here. You gotta figure out exactly how to exploit the enemy. Really fun.
Chrono Trigger:
Obviously. Moving on.
Secret of Mana:
I love these kind of action RPGish games.
Secret of Evermore:
Same deal as Mana.
Cybernator:
Kinda like Metal Warriors. In fact, pretty much the same except no multiplayer, no different mechs, and generally not as cool though still very fun.
Hagane:
None of you have probably heard of this. It was made by Hudson Soft and has you as the last member of a clan, now a cyborg due to near fatal damage to your body, you must defeat the other clan whom you fought against who is trying to destroy the world. Again, really cool stuff in this game.
Kirby Super Star:
Best Kirby ever. Mutliplayer gives it +4 win. Buy it when it comes. I mean come on, 8 different games (actually...), multiple moves for every power, Co-op play, minigames, great grpahics and sound! It's all there.
Phantom 2040:
Most of you have probably never heard of this game, or the show and comic it was based on. I personally thought the gameplay was great, graphics cool, music sick, and the weapons awesome. Especially since you could combine two sometimes for both of their effects. Of course you also got things like the enormous 20 different endings! The game is based on paths you can take. Like, give the information to this guy or that guy? Return the rare Jaguire to the jungle or to the poacher for information? Things like that that completely change the whole game. Pretty slick.
Kirby's Dreamland 3:
This game had this whole crayon style going on and it really did look great. Your goal in this game was to go to each level and make the person in it happy by doing a certain thing. You usually had to try a lot of things to figure out how to really complete the level. There were also animal buddies you could use. 5 I think. It really was a great game, though not as great as Super Star.
Earthbound:
Considering how rare this one is over the internet, it would be nice to see this one be up for 800 points, just so everybody could play it. I mean, not many people really know where Ness in Super Smash came from.
Earthworm Jim 1 & 2:
These really are some of the strangest games you are likely to find (besides everything from Japan). They are shoot 'em up games that have you control a worm in a super suit that gives him powers. Really awesome graphics and style here. The gameplay is top notch in both, always throwing new things at you, and the humor is intense. I mean, I laughed so much in this game it wasn't even funny. Er... wait, what?
Tin Star:
Yes Tin Star... You are Tin Star, the sheriff of some sort of robotic, cow boy setting town place and bandits or something has come to take the town over. Okay, I skipped all the cutscenes... but only to get to the great game! You have an onscreen cross hair and must shoot all the targets on the screen whilst moving about (which happens automatically). The style in this game was great and the graphics were pretty good too. This game was compatible with the Super Scope I think... So maybe they can do something with the Wiimote!
Anyway, there is my list so far of what I think should come up on the VC. Though I don't even have a Wii I can still contribute my opinions, right?

Earthbound- duh. Perfect crack game.
Star Ocean- k, a little insane of a wish, but...
Robotrek- don't know how Europe would get this, but I think the US could manage.
That Bonk game whose name I don't remember- it was fun.
Sparkster- yeah, like Gunstar Heroes but with an opossum (though the Gen/Mega version is better...)
Pocky and Rocky 2- co-op fun.
That Goemon game that Japan only got- like, all 200 of them...
Megaman Soccer- not that bad!
Addam's Family values- pretty sweet Zelda-type!
Um, I'll add more.

Secret of Mana(of course, preferably the version that was originally intended for SNES CD, without the 40% chunk removed)
Seiken Densetsu 3(are they releasing this in the states at last?)
Chrono Trigger
Illusion of Gaia
For those that have no clue what I'm talking about for Secret of Mana, it was originally planned to be a launch title for the SNES CD, but when they dropped the SNES CD project, they removed 40% of the game and downgraded the graphics, in order to put it on the SNES.(Reference (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Secret_of_mana))

How about Winter Gold?
Winter Gold was released for the SNES by Nintendo in 1996, so it was one of the last few titles. It was developed by Funcom and used the Super FX² chip, it was also released exclusively in Europe. It was a game bsaed on winter sports and you participate in six different events - downhill skiing, bobsleigh, luge, snowboarding, ski jump and aerial stunt skiing. Was actually quite a fun title.

Hi. He wasn't just talking about "releasing Secret of Mana", he was also talking about "going back to the Nintendo of Japan developer archives to find the data that was removed back when Nintendo's CD system was canned, and recompile all that stuff so it would fit into a SNES ROM (which they couldn't even do back then). And then translate the whole thing into English". That's what I was replying to, obviously.
I hope my reply makes more sense after knowing what the discussion was about.

Koichi Ishii, the creator of Seiken Densetsu, said that if the fans wanted it, it would be possible.
Not to mention the fact that they are making all these new Seiken Densetsu games, and the best one remains Secret of Mana which still has a 40% chunk taken out of it.
It also remains one of the greatest games of all time, even with only 60% of the game in it.

"Fans also have been hoping for some time now that Square-Enix will someday re-release the title, and its sequel Seiken Densetsu 3, on a new generation platform and return the game to the state it was in before the SNES reduction was put in place, but sadly no sign of this happenning has shown itself on the horizon more than a quote from Koichi Ishii saying "if the fans want it, it is possible"."

Secret of Mana is one of, if not the best Title they've ever made, even with the huge removal of content.
Yes, I would say it is even better than Chrono Trigger, perhaps not by much, but still.
We can only hope, that Square-Enix will recognize that they should bring back their best game, and make it complete.

for those who have never heard of or played the game, the game starts by you picking out 3 of a selection of 6 Characters.

Kevin: the Werewolf
Hawk: the Theif

Carlie: the Cleric

I miss the SNES I used to have (my brother took it with him to college) so I've been wanting to pick up some of my old favorites on the VC.
A few I really want to come out are:
- Super Mario RPG (please Nintendo, please?) Paper Mario will do for now.
- Final Fantasy IV
- Final Fantasy VI
- Chrono Trigger (I was so close to finishing it..)
- Lufia 2
- Super Mario Kart
- UN Squadron

3. Super Baseball Simulator 1.000 (huge baseball fan! edits galore!! no licensing obstacles that I can see)
2. Super Punch Out (a reliable source says it'll be out THIS YEAR?)
1. Super Mario RPG ( I never tried it out for some CRAZY reason!)

Ken Griffey Jr. Winning Run.

Does the fact that it was developed by Rare mean we won't see it?
I was thinking that since it was made exclusively for Nintendo and besides Ken Griffey Jr., it did not have any real players names, that it would be easy to transfer to VC.

Well, I'd obviously love to see the Final Fantasy games and Chrono Trigger released, regardless of how unlikely they are... Here are some of the games that I think might have an outside chance:
Secret of Mana
SoulBlazer
RoboTrek
SHADOWRUN
Romance of the Three Kingdoms II
Romance of the Three Kingdoms III
Gemfire
Super Mario Kart
Mario Paint (??? It would be pretty fun with Wiimote support)

Dino City
I second that. Dino City was one of these really innovative platformers that never really got it's due. Maybe it was to cute for some people (the whole children and they're pet dionsaurs.) It always reminded me of the animated movie "We're Back: A Dinosaur Story".
Other games I would like to see on VC would be:
:lolo-spin:
Sunset Riders
Clayfighter
Animaniacs
Super Star Wars
Uniracers
Stunt Racer FX
Spanky's Quest
:lolo-spin:
Just to name a few...

GREAT GAME!!! However, the best version of it was on the Sega CD, with animated cut scenes and AWESOME music. I'm sure Sega CD games are on the way!

Good to see people who like the game. "We're Back" was cool. Not sure if you knew this but the game was actually based off a movie, its called Adventures in Dinosaur City.

One of my favorite games of all time. I prefer the SNES version, possibly because it was the version I owned. Colors were better, mode 7 effects, and music was more rounded in my opinion. Same goes for Sunset Riders. The SNES version is so much better. I mean, it's night and day.

This is pretty much a full list of SNES titles that could ever be released that would interest me in some way or another. I liked a lot of the games posted by Jogurt the Yogurt (http://www.vc-forums.com/member.php?u=1739), it had a lot of my favs on it. I cannot believe that earthbound is in the top 5 wanted games when there is 30 better RPGs out there earthbound was so so compared to such titles as chrono trigger, zelda, lufia, secret of mana, even the breath of fire games were way better. Also like to point out no one included the best side scrolling fighting game SNES has to offer, TNMT 4: turtles in time. That game was extremely fun.
Another side scroller that wasn't to bad was Batman Returns

Mario Paint would be great—it's on my list from a couple pages back. Wii remote integration might be too much to ask from a ROM, but they could certainly add USB mouse support. It would be fun to play the music composition game and the fly-swatter game again.

My SMRPG wishlist:
Super Mario RPG (really looking forward to its NA release. Whenever that may be)
Super Punch-Out (The NES Punch-Out is out, so I expect to see this before the Wii's lifecycle is over)
Super Mario Kart (I miss some of the original tracks...)
Clayfighter 2 (I liked it more than the original for some reason. And, since the Genesis version of the original is coming, I dont see how the sequel [only released on SNES, according to wikipedia], won't eventually get a release.)
Disney's Aladdin (Unlikely, but whatever.)
Pac-In-Time (I rented it and remember liking it. So many other Pac-Man games have been VC-released. I don't see why this can't be)
Bust-a-Move (I'd also accept an online remake for Wiiware. I dont think that kind of puzzler is worth more than $10, though)
....That should about do it.

I'm playing through Lufia II (Though my copy is just 'Lufia' as it's PAL) on the SNES at the moment and it's easily one of my favourite RPGs. This game desperately needs a VC release. I'm not sure if I'd buy it again but more people need to play it, it's that good!
