Hi, I'm thinking about buying an NES or SNES at christmas. I live in the UK, but I was wondering which version of the nes/snes is better by region (Games availability, speed, and other things.)
Also Is anyone selling one?? PM if you are! :o
Moderator Note: I'm not sure this is in the right place, because it covers two consoles, but feel free to move it.

I've decided to get NA versions of the N64, NES & SNES.
Mainly because of the appearance.
I just need to know will it work on my tv in composite input??
It supports 60hz so it should right???

If your TV supports it, I see no reason why it wouldn't work.
Won't you also have to do something about the power sources? I know whenever we travel to Europe we have to bring little power adapters for our electronics. :)

I think the European SNES looks nicer (it's based on the Japanese Super Famicom). Another argument for the European version is that obviously it would be easier for buying games in the UK, you won't have to rely on ebay.

It won't necceserily work if you have 60Hz because PAL 60Hz isn't the same as NTSC. Most modern TVs do support NTSC though.

Yes and you'll need the right size step-down as well, or else it will be dangerous and won't work.

I actually think the NA SNES looks nicer, but I might end up buying both, lol.
