What SNES games do you want on the vc?

Well since I havent played much SNES when I was younger I only want a few games.

Super Mario rpg
Yoshis island

And I can't remember is Super Mario Bros.3 For NES or SNES.

Dude! I have that game :D Yes it was pretty awesome when I was a kid... Still awesome today. Like the tree level where you climb around the tree if you remember. Sadly, my cartridge freezes sometimes at the water level requiring a restart. :( But I think there is already an SNES wishlist thread.

I want Super Mario RPG to be released. That has to be one of my all-time favorite SNES games. Rediculously fun.

Other than that, I would like to see games like Secret of Mana and the like (for SoM, you can do 3-player easily :p. No Multi-tap needed)

SMB 3 was a NES game. But all SMB 1, 2, 3 and Lost Levels (the original SMB 2) were upgraded to SNES standards and rereleased on the Snes (Super Mario All Stars) some versions of this game also include SMW.

And those 3 games, I would like those too. All on the count that I never actually played them myself back on the SNES. (loved DKC 1 and 2 though:cool:)

It only costs 30 to 40 dollars. But uh, that's just the cartridge, 200 if you want the whole package :) For cartridge only buyers like me it isn't really hard to get.

well, besides the obvious legion of popular RPGs. there are a few i can think that nobody mentioned yet, though there the top of my wish list.

E.V.O: sure its just a constant lvl grind but it does have it's charm.

7th Saga: i remember never getting as far as the second town, because of the constant butt woopin i recieved from mobs. i want my revenge!

Alien 3: sure its a movie game, but it a great one, very challenging, and looked great if my memory serves. this one im almost positive will never show up on VC due to licensing issues wich is a shame.

Secret of Mana: no explanation needed

Lagoon: this is probably pure nostalgia at work, because im not even sure it was that great a game. but if it did show up on VC, i wouldn't hesitate in buying it.

Earth Worm Jim: well the SNES version was the only one i played, but ill take it for any console.

Battletoads: there were several on the SNES, ill take any or all.

Pitfall: another forgotten classic

Ya know, it wasn't that bad. Or at least the hour of it I played wasn't. But yeah, it is over rated. Also to the post above me. Earthworm Jim and Battletoads (Though that is owned by Rare I believe) are both great games for the VC. And by Pitfall do you mean the surprisingly good SNES version?

I haven't played the Genesis version but I do know one thing. It includes a level the SNES version didn't have. Though the SNES version did have improved sound effects and music in the For Pete's Sake level (though that hardly compensates for missing a whole level).

I hope the new Final Fantasy for Wii will be much better but I'm a bit worried because Crystal Chronicles on the Cube was blah.

I have 1, 2, 4, Tactics, Adventure and Crystal Chronicles.
Final Fantasy Adventure is great while the others are sleeping pills.
But people say FFA is a Seiken Densetsu-, a Mana-game, not a proper Final Fantasy.
I always wanted to get into FF, but these games (except FF Adventure) just didn't made it.

I don't know much about Mana games either, but I loved Secret of Mana.

Enough about FF, I just hope that series will some day live up to the hype.
Because everything else from Square/Enix is much better.
Chrono Trigger owns the crown.


SNES games I want on the VC: Everything the EU has been waiting for so long

Earthbound, Chrono Trigger, Super Mario RPG
EVO: Search for Eden, Live a Live, Robotrek
and Final Fantasy 6 (maybe this is the game the hype started it all, it's often to be considered the best in the series and if this and the Wii FF don't amaze me, I might just forget about getting into the FF series)

I just remembered a couple of games i haven't seen mentioned yet that i absolutely loved playing.
both made by konami i believe, and very similar to each other.

Cybernator- its a platformer with a giant robot theme, like gundam or robotech. it had nice visuals and a pretty cool story. As far as space opera's go, this game did everything right.

Metal Warriors- with the same look and theme of cybernator, this game has made some improvements to the cybernator formula by adding a 2 player VS mode. It also allows you to exit your mech, and run around on foot. you can also steal other mechs scattered around the stage, which is the best part of the game. Because there are like 6, very different types of mechs in the game, all with there strengths and weaknesses. the single player is very difficult compared to cybernator. This game is a classic and at the top of my list of must haves.

it was a action packed difficult but short game. but which gun'n'run wasnt?
if metal marines is better i'm thinking about getting it.

Actually SKTTRBRUISE, Metal Marines is a different game with RTS style game play. But if you liked Cybernator youll love Metal Warriors, check it out

It was only called Super Mario World 2 in North America and maybe Europe. I know it's simply Yoshi's Island in Japan. My guess is that it was easier to market it as the sequel to Super Mario World than as a totally new franchise.
