I saw that the other day, and it gave me even more of a reason not to buy it. I'd be surprised if many people could spend that much on a game.
I mean, the Wii's not much more expensive than that...

I suppose this has something to do with supply and demand...? In other words, if they're only planning to do a limited release in Europe, they want to price it just high enough to maximize profit while still selling out. It's a mean marketing manoeuvre, but it's a smart one.

shopto selling both the game and the bundle for £146.99, pretty sweet deal

play.com has the instruments for £99.99 and the game for £39.99.
Still too expensive. I have a price in mind that I'd be willing to pay and it's £100 the lot. And that, given the price elsewhere, is still a little excessive.

Not only tracks but complete albums as well.
This is where I have an issue with their business model. If they were to lower the price (say the £100 I mentioned in a previous post) they would sell more games. Definitely. I know at least 6 people on my friends list willing to pay that price but no more. If you sell more games, you sell more DLC and (over time) make more money. Seem like common sense?
To be honest it looks to me as though EA have decided to make as much as they can short term with a price drop for a complete package for Rock Band later in the year (Christmas?).
Please don't bow to this absolutely ludicrous price hike. Don't buy Rock Band until the price is more in line with other markets.

I'm anxiously hoping they release a KISS full album. Hopefully Alive! or Creatures of the Night...

I suppose this is off-topic from the original intent of the thread, but who here plays RB2? That's got to be one of the greatest games available on the system, I play it almost daily and if anyone else here plays it I'm totally down for some gaming. For the record I play primarily expert guitar/bass though I can do hard drums if necessary. I also have all DLC currently available so if you guys have any then you can be assured it'll be available to play =D

Is this game a better buy than Guitar Hero 2 and 3 (I'm getting World Tour for the Wii)?

Rather have World Tour, better drum set.
