This is one franchise that I absolutely loved and enjoyed when I occasionally got a chance to play the 64. Many people I know, however, never shared the same sentiment. If I'm not mistaken, the company behind the game back then, 3D0, is long gone and out of business.
Let's just say there's a huge demand for Army Men: Sarge's Heroes to come to the VC. Would a developer have to step up and take the project?
At this point, I think that I'm better off investing in a Nintendo 64 and the game than it actually happening. But here's to wishful thinking, eh?...

I really can't see army men coming out until the end of the virtual consoles life cycle at the very least. I know next to no body that gets excited when they hear the name army men. As for my self I only like the first one for pc back in the late 90s. My younger self did have a lot of fun with Army Men #1.
If you have an itch to play Army Men: Sarge's Heroes its available on the n64, ps1, Dreamcast and PC. You'll more then likely need to get it for one of those systems to play it.

Yea they were pretty entertaining games. The battle in the kitchen was a memory i'm especially fond of. However, for some reason I doubt these games have aged very well. They were excellent games in their own right but they just didn't have that timeless quality a game needs to survive in today's gaming age. And there is also the fact that I can think of about 20 AAA N64 titles just off the top of my head that Nintendo will probably release before these even get a nod. Here's hoping i'm wrong though cause i'd love to take a trip down memory lane.

Thanks for the replies brothers, but yeah, I wasn't expecting positive results. That's why I'm searching for a decent deal on a Nintendo 64 these days.
