If you really want the 360, I would recommend the Elite. Not because of the huge HDD (no-one needs that much space) but because there's a chip in it that helps to steer clear of the 3 red rings, although I've heard the problem still exists in the Elites.

By the way, I would at least consider the PS3 beforehand, it's also a great console (regardless of what people say about it, it's the same price as the Elite). But, if your heart is set on the 360 then it's still a great console, if horribly unreliable.

Apparentally, the Halo 3 one has the uber never break chip that they claimed the Elites have, but don't. I've yet to hear of any Red Lights happening to the Halo 3 machine.

Surprise surprise that MS make Halo the best of something else again

They give it the best servers and hype, and it stinks IMO. Now it gets the best console

so your saying 360 is the best console?

PS3 looks ok, but i dont have HD and it doesn't interest me as much as 360 tbh.

I will prob her the elite because its the coolest looking and has the biggest drive, im sure u get a warrenty on the360 anyway, the halo 3 one is quite ugly IMO

No, I mean that it's typical of MS to make the best 360 a Halo one.

I think that game wise, 360 has some blinders, but nothing much in coming out anymore.

Whereas the PS3's only just started :)

Well, I have a U.S account on my 360. But... You can't use a U.K credit card to buy U.S Live or points, and coded cards are region locked.

As far as I'm aware that is. You're best off going to xbox.com and asking on the official forums :)

Thought this was a poll on the best LOOKING of the 360s so voted for the Halo 3 looking muddy funster...well, I like it anyways...:p

The underlying tech in all 3 is the same - 'chip' or software update to prevent red lights included. The difference is the storage - arcade has minimal storage, premium has 20GB and Elite 120GB. Picked up a premium as I didn't see the point of buying the Elite as the storage is only going to be useful if you plan on using the xbox movie download service (I don't). Basically, if you buy an elite and don't use the download service your'e just buying an x-box premium that is a little more aesthetically pleasing.

Was actually quite tempted by the Arcade until I found out you didn't get to pick the five free games!

Does it matter? You get Pac-Man Championship Edition, and that's all you need :p

I bought me the Halo 3 edition.

And If I'm not mistaken, about all editions should now include the HDMI port (Except Arcade).
