Has anyone else had problems viewing the Neo Geo games on an HDTV? I've changed my Wii settings back and forth from 480p to 480i and widescreen on and off. Nothing seems to make a difference. I did read somewhere that the Neo games are not formatted to run in 480p, I hope that doesn't mean that I have to crawl behind my TV, unplug my component cable, and plug in a standard video cable everytime I want to play Art of Fighting.??

I bought all three games and have the same problem. It seems to turn up on Sharp and Samsung displays, but there may be more.
As of yet, there's nothing we can do if switching to 480i doesn't help (which, in my case, it does not). Either Nintendo fixes it or we're screwed.
PLEASE write to the Nintendo consumer service, or call them, and tell them of the problem. Otherwise, they won't do a thing. I wrote them twice already.
I am really saddened by this because I've been looking forward to those NeoGeo games for a long time now.
Again, please tell Nintendo!

I'm using an RCA HDTV and I will definetely be writing Nintendo, I've been looking forward to these games since it was announced, and needless to say I'm not very happy.

I have most of my systems optimized for my HDTV, but I keep my Wii on my Sony Wega with component cables. It just fits the old school feel, even though its basically the highest end regular TV you can get.

A lot of the VC games will not work via component. TG-16 and N64 (+some Hanabi Festival games) are a happy exception on this, but most wont work. Some games support the Wii Interlace Mode, go to the manual screen and press Z, A and 2 simultaniously, if it works, you will hear a sound. If the game doesn't support this, you will have to switch back to the composite cables to be able to play it.
This is the situation in Europe, Im not sure wether the US is different from this. Since we have the PAL conversions (which suck) this may be the case, but try the Wii Interlace Mode anyway, it's handy.

I have switched over to composite cables and all three Neo games are now working, thank God! That's totally lame that I have to do that though, come on Nintendo!? As far as other VC games not supporting the component hookup, I have games from all the other systems (about 30 all together) and have never experienced any problems. SFII does have some weird border at the top of the screen, but I can use the 16:9 Zoom mode on my TV to remedy that. Thanx for everyones help. I am still going to try the interlace mode button combination.

...and please, do write to Nintendo nevertheless, and/ or call them. This will only go away if we make some noise, I guess.

Same with the needed 60Hz support for VC games, so PAL users please send some emails as well.

Wow....just wow....this worked!! All Neo Geo games are running fine now, in 480i via YUV. You're my hero!
(that said, Nintendo should include 480p support in at least all future Neo Geo titles, so keep writing. I know I will.)
