Paper Mario via component ?

Does anyone else have problems running Paper Mario via a component cable on their PAL Wii ? My display goes blank when I start the game and stays blank, but I can hear the game playing in the background.

Have tried the 'fixes' for some VC games (go to the manual screen in the game (got to do this blind!) and press the relevant controller buttons, etc but no luck.

Any ideas please?

i wouldnt say this as a problem but whilst i was downloading it it constantly failed and it took 3 hours worth of retrying to get it to download
