I'll wait until I see what the controls are like on Strikers before I buy. I hope that future Wii editions of Fifa or Pro Evo have online too, as I'm more likely to get one of those, I think.

Yeah, same here. I'm gonna wait until the controls for Strikers are announced. The other one I've never heard of before.

Never played Mario Strikers on Gamecube, was it good?
If it gets nice reviews I will probably buy this for the online part.

The original had some of the best multiplayer on the GC. I believe a German magazine gave the online for this one an 8, which is pretty solid.

Single player in the original was fairly bland but they added loads now, so it should be better.

Well if I buy it, it won't be for the singleplayer at least ;)
I hope that it sells good so Nintendo sees that online is the "new" thing.

I'm thinking about getting Mario Strikers, I can't decide though...

I love Mario and Wi-Fi, and this game looks really good, but I normally hate football big time. Do I get it or wait for the big launches and spend my money elsewhere?

Trust me, Mario makes football completely different from how it normally is.

How is it compared to SSBM? That is the game that I think gets in the same genre as Mario Strikers. Both seems to have rather hectic gameplay, so Mario Strikers could be an appetiser for Brawl ;)

Think of Strikers as football meets Mario Kart.

Well, it sounds nice then ;)
I'll simply wait for the reviews and a good description on the online part before buying. As far as I know you can play with random people in EU but you need a friendcode to play with those outside EU.

I think I'll be getting Strikers on it's release date. Not so much because I think it will an instant classic (I actually doubt it will be all that awesome) but mainly because my Wii isn't playing anything except some VC games at the moment, and while that's fun, that isn't why I bought it in the first place.

I was so close to ordering strikers today for £30 but I didn't >.<

I'm also ordering Mario Party 8 and Mortal Kombat: Armagedon and I'm afraid of not having the money for VC games, I couldn't live without those :P

It seems that this thread is only focusing on Mario Strikers.
Well, I got Eledees, I don't know if I'm going to build some serious map, anyway if someone is interested in experimenting - or sending ME their maps : ) - I'll be glad to be your "friend".

If I beat my Italian laziness, I would like to build very challenging maps, I have to start deciding puzzle rules and then finding elements to "distract" the player: simple solutions that are unlikely to be figured out.

PM me your Wii number.

This game is freaking great. I finished the main story and now I'm going to unlock anything, there are plenty of things to find and I like doing it myself! (Gamefaqs, for this kind of games, is a bit of a fun-killer).
