Um yeah..... have you noticed that the wii only has two internet compatible games? Pokemon and Mario Strikers Charged. The Wii Has almost been out for a year and has only 2 internet games to show for it. They could have made lots of other games on Wi-Fi. Like wii sports, Mario party 8, Need for Speed, Excite truck, Call of Duty 3 and I don't even think super smash bros brawl is wi-fi. Well that's what I think.

Eledees and Big Brain Academy for Wii are "internet compatible" too.
They keep it coming slowly.

Nono, Super Smash Bros Brawl will indeed be Wi-Fi compatible. In fact, once Brawl comes out, I think the Wii will get every true standing it deserves. This is gonna be the Killer App for it, and I honestly can't wait.
Also, once games like Animal Crossing Wii comes out, Nintendo will be using more and more of Wi-Fi, I'm sure of it. They're doing so well with the DS in that regard, they're not just going to forget about it.

Well, Brawl's site updates every day. They only release the bombshell reports about once a month, so it's possible that they're waiting to announce it then, but it's more or less already been confirmed in past conferences and such.
Also, from today's Metroid-related release on the Wii, it's clear that they're interested in the XBox Live type of Previews and such. It's good that they're making use of Wi-Fi in regards like this, like they originally promised. Besides, those previews are pretty awesome.

No matter how many online enabled games are available for the Wii, Nintendo isn't using Wi-Fi to its full potential 'till they ditch friend codes.

i want to keep friend codes as long as there is no MMORPG for Wii.
i would prefer a good chat function while gaming.

Nintendo loves its kid friendly image. hence the friend codes. mum and dad know just who's playing with their kids that way.

I have no real problem with the friend codes, seeing how most of my games are between strangers, anyways. A better option to communicate with your playmate would be desirable, though. Then again, if you were able to hear some of those phrases coming out of my mouth during some of the games, it might not be. =D Think of expressions the AVGN would use. Yeah. Thanks, US Navy! Hehe.

Honestly, Nintendo doesn't have many flagship titles that could use WiFi effectively and creatively. Zelda? How would they do that? How about Pikmin? Kirby? Donkey Kong? Nintendogs? (OK, so you could meet some Japanese guy's dog...so what?)

They don't need to have just their flagship titles be Wi-Fi ready. Just a few really well done games, such as Smash Bros Brawl and Mario Kart Wii

I guess a new Zelda: Four Swords game would work, but I would gladly have some kind of voice chat then since just going around and know nothing about what the others are doing would be quite confusing.
I hope that some third party developers will have some kind of online compability. I would gladly play the new NFS online for example.
