1. Magician Lord
2. The Last Blade
3. Samurai Shodown RPG
4. 2020 Super Baseball
5. Metal Slug

Metal Slug games and Magician Lord (since I hear it's good)

I'd settle for Blazing Star which is one of my favourite shoot-em-ups and Metal Slug 3 which I consider to be the best of the Metal Slug series.

I'd need a fighting game too wouldn't I? OK, make mine Samurai Shodown, either the second or the third one. :p

Magician Lord

Metal Slug (1-3), though not for myself as I have the anthology, but I'd like some other people to be able to get into them that wouldn't buy the anthology.

I remember having lots of fun playing the following games:

The Last Blade series
Metal Slug series
Neo Bomberman
Shock Troopers series
Samurai Showdown series

Puzzle Bobble 1 & 2
Windjammers
Aero Fighters 2
Neo Bomberman
Super Dodge Ball
etc, etc

I have the Metal Slug Anthology (60Hz compatible), so I'm not counting those.

I hope they'll be using the Neo-Geo CD releases, by the way.

I don't really know what games are on neo geo, samurai showdown looks good, I'll see the reveiw before I decide wether to buy it or maybe wait for a sequal, and I might get majician lord, I'm not really a fan of fighters wich seems to be what most neo geo games are and I have metal slug anthology so, I guess there's not many games I would get for neo geo.

edit: are there any side scrollling beat em ups on neo geo?

I don't know a lot about the Neo Geo, as they weren't exactly in abundant supply when I was younger, but I do really enjoy the Magical Drop games, and I'd like to see them released.

My top/only picks would be The Last Blade series.

And one of these uber-shmups. Specifically the one, I forgot the name of.
Damn! It had millions of animations making 2D sprites look 3D, big lazer weapons, fast paralax scrolling, action packed to the limit.

These two games left good impressions.

They're not comparable to the likes of that crappy Fatal Fury or the trash beat'em up World Heroes! These really look and play and sound like cheap first generation SNES games without any Neo Geo power, so don't be faked by the first sad Neo Geo entries. There are much better fighting games coming, so save your moneys. And yes, Art of Fighting is unbearable too.
Magician Lord looks decent although, I don't know it but it looks fun even if it's technically SNES level again.

...it was Pulstar... and its sequel was Blazing Star...

...I want to see Garou... perheaps some KoF... I really should be patient and get XI and XII though...

...Fatal Fury does not suck...

Sengoku, there's 3 of them.

Atlantis1982

There are a couple low radar games I like to get from playing them on Gametap:

Twinkle Star Sprites: (It's free on Gametap if you want to try it.)
Please bare the cute name, and the overall "silly and cute atmosphere" for a truly unique top-down, competitive shooter. Taking some stuff from multiplayer puzzle games like Tetris and Puzzle Fighter; you try to shoot as many of the enemies on your side as possible and try to link up lots of combo strings. Accomplishing this will throw projectiles to your opponent, but your opponent (and you) can shoot those back with either charged up shots or bombs (limited), or dodge them. The first to lose all their hit points loses the game.

Other memorible mentions

Windjammers
Samurai Shodown 2
Senjoku 2 and 3

Yep, as Balrog said, the three Sengoku games. There's also Burning Fight (which I suppose in a way is a little bit like Final Fight), RoboArmy (where the main characters are robots), Mutation Nation, and Ninja Combat.

Thats what I can remember off the top of my head.

I'm looking forward to Ninja Combat and League Bowling.

Obvious I-wants:
Last Blade 1 and 2
Garou
Real Bout Fatal Fury Special and RBFF2
Samurai Shodown 2 and 5
King of Fighters 98, 2001, 2002 and 2003
Twinkle Star Sprites

and a few others

Less obvious ones?
Waku Waku 7
Ninja Master's
Matrimelee
Magical Drop 3
Rage of the Dragons

Ah, hell, anything on the NG is a good thing as far as I'm concerned, those are just the ones I want now.

Yeah, And the copies are REALLY expensive too. I hope they bring it to the VC, because theres really no other chance for most people to play it, and I hear it's great (But frustatingly hard).

I just saw a copy on Ebay.co.uk for £29.99, but it was the mush easier to find Dreamcast version. That doesn't meant the Dreamcast version is easy to find though.

I'm not a huge fan of the Neo Geo just because of its nature as a home arcade system (I'm not a fan of big platformers, brawlers, and fighters...). The one game/series out of the NG's roster that I might be tempted to try is Sengoku, just because of the interesting setting.

Still can't believe Twinkle is that popular of a game, and I thought I was kind of nutty that I actually enjoyed the cute-em-up. Windjammers, I haven't played that for so long still finding it hard to believe they haven't released it. Oh, that's right; cause everyone CARES for that one. :P

Far as Sengoku 3; I just don't see that one coming due to size of the game. The other two, perhaps, but I really doubt the third or 2001.

NeoGeo Cup '98: The Road To The Victory (i.e. Super Sidekicks 3)

They had this in an arcade up in the north of Scotland where I went on holiday. It was like 20p a go and it would last you for about half an hour. If you put in a pound you would end up being there for too long!:)

I'm sorry, but some of your ideas are clearly flawed. Many of the games you (plural) said were released for the CD, which will take up TOO MUCH internal memory. ALso, a game like Mark Of The Wolves is Dreamcast quality, which means it WILL take WAAAY too much space to be on VC. Heck, VC can't even save PS1 games, let alone Dreamcast. The only reason it can sace N64 is because it was cartridge based. Have you noticed there are no CD based add-on games (besides a few TG-16 ones) that are on the VC?

I can't wait for that to happen. Castlevania Symphony Of The Night (Sega Saturn), please come out in a brand new edition that fixes your various glitches, and insert yourself in Wii Ware. Oh, and a TON of DLC would be nice (if nice meant BAD-ASS).

I would like to see a good, original adventure/platformer, (like Mario/Sonic/Bonk/Kirby etc...) , or just about anything that's not a fighter, beat-um-up, kick-der-****, because I hate those types of games...

And I tried Blue's Adventure and it sucked; plus I had to unplug the component cable and reboot my Wii everytime I wanted to play, which got old...

And I'm not interested in Magician Lord, or any other dry and pasty RPG, either; there are tons better ones already out on other consoles...

I just don't see anything out for NeoGeo that I could really be interested in at the moment...

The sad thing is, most of the later and even middle-era Neo Geo fighters are simply too large to come to VC. The ROMs are hundreds upon hundreds of megabytes for a lot of those games and downloadable content is limited by Nintendo to be slightly less than 50MB. That's the reason that Neo Geo games always sucked so hard on other consoles until the Dreamcast came along; cartridges allowed instant access to all the artwork whereas CD-based platforms like the PSX and Saturn absolutely chugged along and often lost much of the artwork.

Thankfully for fighter fans, the King Of Fighters and Samurai Shodown collections should be more than enough to keep us occupied for a while :)

Personally, I think those game are more likely to come out on compilation discs, if at all, on Wii. SNK stand to make more by releasing their hardcore fighters on the other consoles, especially PS2, as the Wii crowd isn't exactly hardcore. For instance, there are two Fatal Fury compilations for PS2 that haven't seen a Wii release. The original Last Blade might be small enough to fit on VC, but the other two definitely aren't. I'm no authority on the subject, these are just my gut feelings.

You can probably expect Ninty to start compressing some of the later Neo Geo games. So there's still a very good chance we could be getting The Last Blade 1 & 2 and probably Garou: Mark of the Wolves.

That being said, I'm hoping for the Real Bout Fatal Fury trilogy and the rest of the KOF series.
