*lol at the thought of Dazza knocking Damo's front teeth out while giving it some real 'Maxi' while playing Soul Calibur*

I wouldn't wish it on anyone but man I can picture the video on You've Been Framed with 'amusing' Harry Hill comments over the top of it.

Now THAT is FRESH.

And as long as you can go back to a classic control method as well...this will be fine.

I do love Soul Calibur but honestly I think this control method can only end in tears!

There is hope, ye of little faith, there is hope. If Arc and Bandai can include sensible control mechanisms in their fighters (GUilty Gear and DBZ, repectively) then Namco might also.

Soul Calibur is the greatest 3D fighting series ever; and yes, fanboys, that includes Virtua Fighter. I've spent well over 500 hours on SCII on the GC. It's be a shame to nosedive it now, on such a high-profile console, a failure on which might very well kill it off.

 Well as we all know the Wii version of Mortal Kombat Armageddon using the new control scheme AND the classic and gamecube controllers. Maybe they'll give us that option for Soul Calibur as well. One can only hope!

Yeah, I'm willing to wait and see before I pronounce doom.

I've never thought that SC was any fun, SSBM all the way ;)

No seriously, I never got stuck to it since it's not my kind of game. Rarely like fightinggames at all. I hope for the sake of all the SC fans that this turn out good though, I'll rather download VC games for €60 instead of buying this.

I mentioned in another forum that MK allows classic controllers and I hope this does.

I love SCII but hated the NGC version. Link needs to die in that game. He has an instant ring out move, bombs and arrows. That's NOT the SC way.

Reason I think it'll suck is because it's Namco. Namco don't like Ninty. They've had one falling out already. So this could be disasterous.

Ah, IGN's just put up some more news.

It's a hack and slash. Not a fighter. So it'll be similar controls to Zelda I imagine. So i'm cool with that 8)

Sounds more like Konquest mode but from the world of Soul Calibur. Sounds interesting.

Yes...interesting...but I can't help but feel a little disappointed. Soul Calibur 3 on the Wii...would have been nice.

What another last-gen game ported to the Wii? Nah, I'm glad they're making a whole new game for the Wii, hope it's gonna be good though :P

Absolutely. And there's no reason why it shouldn't be possible, either. I'm sure Namco will get their thumbs out sooner or later, it can only be a matter of time before the big publishers realise that the people that bought the Wii aren't all playing it with their grannies - we need some proper games as well. (Capcom and Umbrella Chronicles, I'm looking at you!)

This is why No More Heroes is currently in my top list of "I WANT IT NOW" Wii games :D

Yes, I'm certainly intrigued by No More Heroes. It's refreshing to see something that's not a sequel too.
