This is about the only DS game I'm looking forward to. The graphics are alright for the Ds could have done better. It seems way better than Mario Party Advance, I wouldn't even consider it a Mario party game. But no Wi-fi... But it is multiplayer with only one game card and this time you can use more than 4 characters.

Meh. The whole game seems kind of pointless, seeing how A) there won't be any online gameplay and B) the single-card feature will only let you play a few select mini-games, not an entire board, from what I've read so far.

If it was online, you d have people dropping out during games, which is annoying.
Though, Friend Codes would work a treat....

I'll consider getting as I loved the earlier N64 MP games but I was very disappointed how MP8 was received by critics (I know you can't listen to them) but it stopped me getting it when I got the Wii in March... and I still haven't even played it yet.

My interest was high when it looked likely it would be WiFi :(
I can't see the excuse for it to be honest, it's about time the series was getting these sorts of additions.

Yeah I'm surprised there's no mario party on the vc yet. But mario party 8 is my favorite because it's so different from all of the other ones and a bit funner. and I think the DS one will be good too, because of the touch screen. Yes I was a bit surprised no wi-fi, because most DS games have wi-fi. But just like king said " If it was online, you d have people dropping out during games, which is annoying." If you played a 50 turn game or even 20 do you think everyone would stay in, no they would leave out of nowhere. But whoever leaves could always turn into a computer. But also friend codes would be nice, that way there could be a thing when your playing on the board where you could talk to each other. But honestly whats the difference if your playing online or against a computer,(besides that the computer can be a big idiot sometimes.) you can't see each other or talk to each other. The only difference is you don't know how hard the person will be. So If nintendo actually had online I don't think it would be playing against each other but show your high scores on mini games or something, or trading points for something to buy.

I don't think Wi-Fi would work all too well to be honest. It would have to be friend code only because of quitters, and even then the game would be open to lagging and stuff. An hour or so would be a long time to spend on Wi-Fi anyway...
I really can't make my mind up about this game. It looks like it could be good, but I know there's a high chance that it'll just end up dissapointing, and the mini games could rubbish with the touch screen. I guess I'll just have to wait for some reviews first.

I'm not really hyped for this game. I've never been a fan of the Mario Party series really...

IGN's given the game a 7.0 rating.

I'm getting the game later today, so I'll post my feedback over the next couple of days. :)
It looks pretty good, I'll just have to hope it is what it looks.

I hope it's as good as mario party 8. I'm surprised nintendo didn't release this game earlier, the DS has been out for what four years?

I think you mean the GBA version :D
It's a pretty good game so far from what I've played. The Puzzle mode is very fun and the boards are great.
When you play on 1 player you earn Mario Party points which earn you hundreds of unlockables.
I can't go into too much detail yet, I need to play it more, but I'll be writing up a review in the next couple of weeks. :)
