This could be promising... as long as it'll have online abilities.

If it were online, the boards should probably be friends only. Too high a chance of disconnecting there!

Maybe mini games to be played with randoms though? This could work well in any case (The game that is), it's just the execution they have to pull off (Which they apparantly didn't do very well with Party 8 :()

Ugh, another MP... T.T

Oh well, suppose the Touch Screen can provide some interesting Minigames.

The Wiimote couldn't save it, so I doubt the TS could.

I at first couldn't wait for an MP DS and Wii...

I was desperate for a Mario Party DS last year, now I'm pretty much the opposite. The series has just been overdone and ruined.
The first 3-4 will always be the best!

Mario Party 8 is the best game in the series.

Hopefully, when this gets released or near its release, they ll add the 1st MP to the VC, and we can remember when a time when MP wasnt a yearly cash cow. ^^

If they put the first one on, I would hope they'd sort out the control stick spinning mini games, they were horrible, not to mention blister inducing! The game was excellent otherwise :)

The GC and Classic controller control sticks are more softer then the rough N64 one, so I reckon it ll be fine, otherwise they ll be handing out gloves again... XD

Not very good for the control stick either

I dunno if I posted it here or ONM, but they'll most likely release 2 and not 1 for the sake of the Classic Controller and people's hands! I remember those blisters on the palms of my hand all too well :(
If they did happen to release part 1, I'd just use my Gamecube controller.
It's such a shame because 1 is my favourite in the series, it just has a few dumb rotation minigames! As well as that dam Wind-up Shyguy.

It was excellent otherwise, I loved the mini game quest, and things like the shop were a nice touch :) Plus the puffy cheeked bank owners!

For me it's:

2 > 3 > 1 > 7 > 8 > 6 > 5 > 4 > Advance.

If MPDS has Wi-Fi it could be great, but I bet they won't put it in.

I ve played 1, 2, 4 and 5. As for whats the best, I d say:

2, 1, 5, 4

4 and 5 arnt bad, just 2 and 1 are better.

They ll really have to get 3 on the VC though. Its goes for around £20-30 on ebay. o.o

mario party 8 is the best. it has best boards plus the best minigames.

mario party 1-6 are boring (except mario party 1 & 2 which were innovative and fun at the time)

i haven't bought mario party 7 cause 3-6 were really not that good and i got bored of it.

mario party 8 is an exception. it's better than 1-7.

But as for all Mario parties: It's ONLY for Multiplayers!

Eh, the only two good boards it has are Haunted Hideaway and Tycoon Town (Which has been done before in MP7 with Windmillville).

Treetop Temple is pretty much like any other Mario Party board.

Booty Boardwalk's been done before (Rainbow Castle in MP1, Castaway Bay in MP6, Pagoda Peak in MP7).

Perplex Express gets way too annoying with the constant switching of cars and DK/Bowser.

Warped Orbit is really annoying because it never seems to end, it's basically this: you take 1/2 stars from opponents, they take them back, you take them back, they take them back, repeat into infinity.

Minigames? A lot of them are recycled (There's loads that's pretty much redesigned ones from MP1/2/3), there's still luck games around (The bane of Mario Party since the series started) and the control in some of them is very annoying (Especially those that makes you tilt the remote to move around).

I will admit though, Moped Mayhem is one of the best minigames in the series, despite being an extra game.

yes, these two are my favourites boards too :D

Treetop Temple is pretty much like any other Mario Party board.

you've got it. quite a disappointment in the beginning. but this is the one and only "classic" board: pretty big and with stars that could appear everywhere.

Booty Boardwalk's been done before (Rainbow Castle in MP1, Castaway Bay in MP6, Pagoda Peak in MP7).

rainbow castle (mp1) is a bit different from this one. this one is really just a long and winding road with no paths you can decide to walk.) and the bay in mp6 is quite not as interesting and appealing as this one. at least i've noticed in multiplayer this board very fun and unique. as for mp7 - that's the one mario party i passed on.

Perplex Express gets way too annoying with the constant switching of cars and DK/Bowser.

it's a party game drake. there is no annoying. this game is designed for 4 player. i know in one player it can be annoying coz you want to win and these random happenings just make no fun if theyre against you. that's just the annoying point of every mario party game: one player game. really tedious and boring. but with four players this board is a heck of fun! one of our favourites together with tycoon, boohoo and the beach.

Warped Orbit is really annoying because it never seems to end, it's basically this: you take 1/2 stars from opponents, they take them back, you take them back, they take them back, repeat into infinity.

i can imagine what you mean, in case i was lucky the few times when i played this board. bowser boards never have been the favourite among me and my friends. but this one's also very unique (you can get stars only by stealing them). i have no opinion on this one. just played it two times in solo to get blooper and hammerbro.

Minigames? A lot of them are recycled (There's loads that's pretty much redesigned ones from MP1/2/3), there's still luck games around (The bane of Mario Party since the series started) and the control in some of them is very annoying (Especially those that makes you tilt the remote to move around).

yes there are minigames that already have been out there countless times. the bowling (wii sports) table tennis (wii play) and flag game (warioware) are already known and better executed. but these are extra minigames. the normal party-minigames are very good designed. there are only 2 luck-minigames! that's just great as any other mario party had at least 5 of them! i hate when the "scissor cuts rope" minigame comes up but thats just fun and chance for the other people that play with me.

graphically gamecube level but a bit better than any other mario party game. audio just as happy as every other mario party game.
wiimote controls: great. there's nothing bad really despite what others may have experienced. i played every minigame and all the controls were fine. some where known, some where new. the mix with classic d-pad controls is a very good style i missed in warioware-sm.

I will admit though, Moped Mayhem is one of the best minigames in the series, despite being an extra game.

Yes. And also that new addicting puzzle game, where you have to turn and switch rows of blocks.

In my opinion if you look for a 4 player party game on wii mario party 8 is the choice. a good thing too: you need no nunchuks.

16:9 users, be warned although: it has inconvenient borders on the sides.
