A few weeks ago a different game was banned in the UK as well for calling you a spastic if you got a bad score in something.

MP8 came out here 2 weeks ago and it has the word as well (Plus Bowser calls you a m0r0n), hasn't been recalled. Played it earlier today, in fact.

I don't take it as offensive at all, but for the same reason some soccer mom got angry over spastic being in Mind Training (I think that was the game), some people could take offense at the game calling them a m0r0n.

I didn't know where to say this but while you're on about word censors, can you PLEASE turn the ...s into a plain 5 asterixes! People don't have to know the length of the swearword because it'd be the same length for each one. It's driving me mad when I'm reading and stuff! It's deffinitely regional. Because I posted about this somewhere else and someone in the states told me that you guys use it the same way as you use Fritz (Which no one in the U.K uses that word except me. I tell you, the looks I get when I say "The computer's on the fritz again" :lol:).

And for those who don'y know fritz as anything other than a German name. It basically means "Acting up/Not functioning correctly".

But speaking of regional, i've asked this before and no one could answer.

You wouldn't be able to buy the game since all the retailers have sent it back to Nintendo and they haven't announced a new UK date yet. If you could somehow find a version from a different EU country though, it would still have spastic since it's not considered offensive around the rest of Europe.
