View Full Version : How many retro consoles do you own?

I happen to own the following: Atari 2600, NES, SNES, Genesis, N64, PS1, Saturn, and Dreamcast I also have some newer consoles which consist of the PS2 (a slim and fat model); Wii, and a 360.

Also which retro console do you find yourself playing the most? Lately mine has been the SNES, so many great games for that system (however I have none of the RPG games); I prefer some of the 2D games over the games that are out today sometimes.

I own PSX, NES, SNES, N64 and DC and I guess the N64 gets the most playtime...*goes back to playing Sin & Punishment*

My console roster is always in flux, but right now it looks like this:

NES (fat) x 2
SNES (fat)
GCN x 2 (platinum & black)
PS1 (fat)
PS2 (fat)
PSP Slim & Lite (ceramic white w/ Darth Vader silkscreen)
GBA (white)
GBA SP x 3 (red, blue, & silver)
DS Lite (white)
Wii

There's an N64 and a Genesis (not sure if it's 1st or 2nd model) on the way (trading some of my doubles for them).

I purged myself of most of my old consoles. The VC helped me make that decision. I live in a small apt and only have 1 TV, so it was getting ridiculous.

I currently have: Wii, 360, PS2, Dreamcast, GBASP, DS

I have owned in the past:
Pong player
Oddessy 2
Atari 2600
NES
SMS
Gameboy

I was in the same boat. When I moved into my own place, I pared down the console collection, and I'm only getting back into a position to re-collect them now.

Here is what I once had, in addition to the systems listed above:

Gameboy
Gameboy Colour (Red)
Sega Master System
Genesis Model 1
Genesis Model 2
32X
Sega CD
TG16
Panasonic 3DO
another fat PS1

Did you ever have the Street Fighter 2 game on that system? That was the reason to own a 3DO back in the day.

Yep, Super Street Fighter II Turbo, with sweet super moves. It was awesome. In fact, I think it may have been the only game I had... unless... I'm having vague memories of a terrible Wing Commander game? Maybe that was another system, though...

The only "retro" systems I own are the N64 and the Gameboy Color. I grew up with the advent of the 3D era and while I played the NES at my friend's when I was little, I never actually owned one.
My current list of systems is this:
Wii
Gamecube (w/GB player)
PS2 (fat)
Gameboy Color
Gameboy Advance
Gameboy Advance SP
Nintendo DS (original "phat", silver)
N64

And that's it. Unless you want to count those plug-in-and-play things.

A Gameboy Pocket and a ZX Spectrum... I mainly rely on VC for my retro games =P

A Playstation, some old PC games, a Gamecube, a PS2 (if those count), a first-gen GBA I play old GB games on (used to have a GBC, but sold it since I didn't need it anymore), and that's about it. I use the good 'ol VC to get most of my retro fix. :super-mario::link-woot:

Just snagged me another Genesis and a Sega CD with a bunch of games. Going to sell the duplicate Genesis to help pay for the rest. Fun stuff! Too bad Shining Force CD is so rare... :(

None... My sis and I gave our NES, TG-16, Genesis, SNES, & Gamegear to our younger cousin. Do I regret it? Not really, since we made a retro gamer out of a kid who's now 14.

My GBA and Gamecube were sold (almost given) to close friends since it was their 1st time not living under "mom and dad's" grace and thus they had near no money for fun.
