I couldn't find a list for the gba games so I thought I might as well make one (if there is one...its really hidden!)
Oh yeah...my gba games:
Final Fantasy V Advance
Final Fantasy VI Advance
Puyo Pop
Riviera the Promised Land
Yggdra Union: ~We'll never fight alone~
Summon night: Swordcraft Story

My GBA games...
I don't have much on the GBA coz I missed out on this one, and rather bought tons of N64, Gamecube and DS games.
The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past + Four Swords 9/10
The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap 9/10
Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones 8/10
Metroid Fusion 8/10
Kuru Kuru Kururin 7/10
Pokémon Mystery Dungeon 7/10
NES Classics: Dr. Mario 7/10
NES Classics: Super Mario Bros. 7/10
NES Classics: Ice Climber 6/10
Final Fantasy IV 5/10
Final Fantasy Tactics 5/10
Final Fantasy I & II 3/10
NES Classics: Pac-Man 2/10
NES Classics: Xevious 1/10
You see my many opportunities to try Final Fantasy, but seriously, I just couldn't get into that series. It's so damn boring.

My favourites are in bold.
Banjo-Kazooie Grunty's Revenge
Banjo Pilot

And to answer the poll question, no, I don't play GBA games on DS, I use my Game Boy Micro because it's so small and portable, plus for some reason I don't like how GBA games look on DS.

I haven't played a DS game in 3 months. I did play a very good amount of GBA games though. I'll just list the ones I recently bought. Wario Ware Twisted, Metroid Zero Mission, Gunstar Super Heroes, that Mana action RPG game I forgot the title of, and Final Fantasy Tactics.

Got a Gameboy Micro 20th Anny Edition as a gift earlier this year, but I think I've only played it twice or three times. I've got Sonic Advance, Army Men: Operation, Classic Edition Castlevania, and Super Mario Bros. Advance. I haven't even played Mario Bros. or Sonic yet.
It's seriously impossible to find GBA games that I actually want, and even used games are damn expensive. I'm looking to get Dr. Mario, Donkey Kong, Donkey Kong Country, Mortal Kombat, Army Men, and Ninja Turtles at some point in the future... if I can ever find them.

Is it just me or does that sound somewhat suspect (i.e. illegal)?

It's a moral question.
I think emulators (and illegal ROMs) are not a BAD thing alone.
But there are limits! If you play some ROMs to watch out how really a game is (sometimes a video is not enough), I don't feel it's such an evil action. At least if you decide to a) buy it because you liked it; b) delete it because it sucked.
Now saying that you own all GBA roms doesn't make me think we're on the same side.

I have a GBA, and a handful of games for it, but about the only thing I play is Golden Sun: The Lost Age, which I use to while away lunch breaks at work and long journeys.

I had a hard time yesterday trying to contain myself and answering the way you deserve.
But I slept over it and thought that you're young.
So you need tyo know why your sentences are plain untrue, but I'm sick of these discussion, so I'm just giving you 2 links.

Ok...
1. Who cares? I'm sure you own a burnt DVD or two.
2. Read this http://www.gameboy-advance.net/site/legal_info.htm.
3. I'm not hurting anyone.
4. You sound like my old "DRUNK! Grandfather": I don't understand the real world.
5. It's strange that you had to contain yourself and you had to sleep on this.
You sound like a "NUT!". No offence or anything.

2. Read this http://www.gameboy-advance.net/site/legal_info.htm.
You might want to re-read that yourself. There's no problem with you making and using ROM images of games you actually own, yet it is illegal to use ROM images of games you don't own.

. . . why all the talk about ROMs? Meh...I think downloading them is bad but...I don't really care when certain companies refuse to localise certain games....*COUGHchronoCOUGH*
But yeah, you should buy the real thing
Anyway....
I just re-bought Boktai 2 (for Lunar Knights extras) and Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town. HM didn't come in a box or with instructions, so do any of you know about the gba GC connectivity features the game has? What was the name of the GC game?

There was for Golf but not for Tennis.
You can exchange characters from Mario Golf: Advance Tour (GBA) and Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour (GCN).
Mario Power Tennis (GCN) and Mario Tennis: Power Tour (GBA) had no connectivity of any kind.

I got rid of my GBA a long time ago... I'm almost tempted to go back and get one again to try out the Fire Emblem games that I missed. I didn't know the DS could play GBA games... can it connect to a Gamecube like the GBA could?
Actually, can they connect to a Wii like they could with a Gamecube? I always assumed they could since the actual Gamecube architecture is in the Wii.
SKTTR
5th March 2008, 08:40 PM
Yes, the DS is compatible to the Wii.
1st example Wii to DS:
The "Everyone's Nintendo" channel (not out in EU/US yet).
In this channel you can download game demos to your DS.
2nd example DS to Wii:
Pokémon Pearl / Diamond (DS) & Pokémon Battle Revolution (Wii) or Pokémon Farm (WiiWare).
Transfer your ID and Pokémon and fight on a bigger screen or pet them in the upcoming new Pokémon channel (release in May).
You need no extra hardware. All done wireless.

I'm more concerned about unlocking extra content in Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance, which is originally a GBA<-->GCN thing. If it's possible to rig that up with a DS and a Wii, then cool.
SKTTR
5th March 2008, 09:43 PM
I have Path of Radiance and The Sacred Stones,
and a good save file:
POR beaten on normal
with all characters found and alive
and unlocked all the TSS artworks by the GBA-Link.
So this is a save file on a Gamecube Memory Card and you don't need the GBA game anymore because everything is unlocked on the GC save file.
So if this new Wii Fire Emblem (I don't have it coz it's not out here) has the feature to access a Gamecube Memory Card, it can do anything with your data.
I'm sorry I can't give you a more precise answer. I don't know what this connection really does for the Wii version.

I own every GBA game ever made on my "GBA FLASH ADVANCE CARD" and I play them on my DS.
That's not even possible with size restraints and such. My M3 Lite which I use to plau Music can only hold 4gigs, and I'm not sure what size a GBA rom is, but I'm pretty sure all of them added together are more than that.

Is Metroid Zero Mission pretty much a SNES-quality remake of the NES game? I might look to snag a used copy somewhere for my new DS sometime.
The only GBA game I ever had was the original Advance Wars, but I got very bored of it and sold it with the system many years ago.

• Boktai: The Sun Is in Your Hand - Surprisingly fun. Pyew pyew pyew! Pyew pyew! I shoot you! With the sun!
• Donkey Kong Country 2 - Meh. I don't think DKC2 is as fun as DKC1, and the graphics look stretched and ugly on the GBA.
• Drill Dozer - So much fun! But it hurts my hands to play for too long.
• FF1 & 2: Dawn of Souls - FF2 is...depressing. NPCs keep dying. And they talk about it. Almost as if the deaths affect them, or something. It has a very unsatisfying ending and I want to punch Leon in the face (in the face!). I enjoy the FF1 remake, though. There's something oddly satisfying about beating on Ultros with a team of white mages.
• FF4 Advance - <3
• FF5 Advance - Full of twinkish goodness and not-****ty translation!
• FF6 Advance (surprise!) - Haven't played it yet. I'm waiting for the right mood, and to finish Golden Sun.
• Golden Sun - I was unimpressed by the beginning, and a lot of the semi-automated sequences take control away from your for a frustrating long time. However, once you get to the unique aspects of the game--interacting with the game's environment with your magic ("psyenergy") and messing around with djinni junctioning (uh, "setting") the game becomes superfun.
• Kirby & the Amazing Mirror - I bought this and Nightmare in Dream Land on the idea that "Kirby games are good and I haven't played these games." Amazing Mirror is tons of fun and I love the sprawling map. Master Hand is in here!
• Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land - If I had known this was just a remake of the NES game, I wouldn't have bought it. I should have been paying more attention to the name.
• Lufia: The Ruins of Lore - Traditional RPG, not as if that'd turn me away. Lots of fun. :] It has a puppy! I haven't actually beaten it, though. I played through aaaall the way to the end, stalled on beating the game because I didn't want it to end...then Pokemon Pearl was released, and ate my soul.
• Phantasy Star Collection - I played it a little, then got Lufia and haven't gone back. I may pick it up again.
• Pokemon LeafGreen - A remake of the original Pokemon game. I actually played all the way through, then gave away most of my legendaries to a friend who visited for Christmas under the idea that "hey, I can just get them again on another playthrough." I haven't played through again yet--maybe the next Pokemon game release.
• Tales of Phantasia - Haven't played it yet. I bought it in a bundle with my GBA and Dawn of Souls for $60 (shipped!). At the time local stores were trying to sell used GBAs for $60.
• Wario Land 4 - One of the first GBA games I got, I mainly bought it because it was $4 and in the Mario vein of platformers (which tend to be quality). Wow! What a great game this is!
• Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3 - I missed out on this game as a kid and that's tragedy. It's so much fun!

Is Metroid Zero Mission pretty much a SNES-quality remake of the NES game? I might look to snag a used copy somewhere for my new DS sometime.
Nope. Brand new engine and expanded graphics. I know its Blasphemous to say this, but I think the controls for Zero Mission are even better than Super Metroid in many ways. It also has new power-ups and moves other games don't (although of course a few the other games don't because its an earlier game and she has never encountered them yet like Grapple Beam, Fusion Suit or X-Ray Scope).
The big draw of the game is both the graphical overhaul, remake which makes it play more like the other Metroid titles over the amazing but before its time NES title and the extended ending which was added to the game (wasn't in the NES game). Zero Suit Samus of course comes from this extended ending.
It really is one of the best Metroid titles by far. In a tie for my favorite.

Awesome, I'm going to have to look it up. Super Metroid is one of my favourite games, and I haven't really played much of the original. I would have been perfectly content if the remake just brought the original up to SM's standards.
I thought Zero Suit Samus was in the original NES game as well?

I thought Zero Suit Samus was in the original NES game as well?
Yes and no. She removed her suit at the end of the game to reveal she was a girl. Then, you could put in a code to play as her 'suitless' version of her. However, it was just a full run of the game with extreme limitations put on you and a new sprite.
The Zero Suit Samus in Metroid Zero Mission is a vastly upgraded version of the 'Samus taking off her suit' idea found at the end of every game.
