If you have a newer television and problems with NES/SNES/MD titles released before april 2007, send Nintendo a mail with the title.

Great list.
Just wanted to add that it does seem to work with Gunstar Heroes.

EDIT:
Scratch that. Gunstar Heroes seems to work half the time with the component cable.

Like to add Sin & punishment works in both 480p and 480i, therefore working on a component cable

is this just a EU problem? i figured with the cables plugged in, everything was automatic.

think so yea, pal games 50hz yet the component runs at 60hz, so our games need optimizing to work. when i put dk2 on the VC i got the audio but no picture on the component cable, did the Z A 1 combo and then its working fine

Super Mario World (SNES) has finally got component interlace support :D
Don't know if other games are updated as well.

Really? I just tried the button combinations and there was no confirmation sound at all.

And yes, I've just downloaded the update.

And yes, I've just downloaded the update.

You only need to do it once, and then it's active for all compatible games. I did the code ages ago and have now just re-downloaded SMW and it ran properly straight away (and about bleedin' time too!).

They might have found a way to support both modes at once, because there's no way to change between them in the recent SMW update. I guess they'll be updating many other games with this version of the emulator, from now on.

Now if they'd do the same with the NES games, and make them fullscreen...

EDIT: By the way, thanks to anybody who told Nintendo about this issue. Please, keep mailing them when you find any kind of problems (or SEGA, for the MegaDrive games).

Just found Componant Cable updates for:

Street Fighter II: The World Warrior
Super Probotector: The Alien rebels

Also, they're quite a bit smaller than the original downloads!

Has anyone heard of anybody having this problem with a SCART lead connection and not the Component Cable. I have a Samsung HDTV and am using a Joytech scart lead and experiencing a screen problem (it moves left/right all the time and they all are on the game mentioned in here not having Interlace mode support. i put in the code and a most of them are fine. This is while the scart lead is in port 1 but when I change it to port 2, the screen quality is fuzzier but the picture does work. I was thinking of buying a component cable to sort this out, but after reading on here, it seems like this won't make any difference.

Does anyone have the correct SEGA email address for we to contact them about this, as it is only the SEGA games that I have that has this problem now.

If you're using a scart lead then all games should work fine. Interlace mode support is only for Component cables. Scart is already interlace (in fact it's ONLY interlace) so using the code will make no difference whatsoever.

Sounds like SCART1 on your TV is RGB enabled, and SCART2 is composite only. You should check the screen settings in the Wii menu and try changing the settings there to see if it makes any difference.

Another component cable update:

SimCity (SNES)

Also, instead of having to go into the entry to check (like with the others I've posted) this one was tabbed as "Updated" just like they used to.

This list will probably eb easier to maintain if it was changed from "List of VC titles supporting Wii Component Cable Interlace Mode" to "List of VC titles NOT supporting Wii Component Cable Interlace Mode "

Just an idea.

You appear to be confusing Wii games with VC games. This thread is for VC games.

Wait wait, I know this is slightly off topic, but as I scanned that list of VC titles I spotted two of my all time favorite games: Mega Man and MegaMan II. I never noticed those on VC, does another region have those already?? I am in the United States BTW. On topic, is it safe to assume that this interlaced stuff is something I don't have to worry about?

Okay, I was trying real hard not to feel jilted by the fact that Europe was getting some righteous shooters for TurboGraphics-16 downloads, including imports. I was already feeling green with envy over that, but MegaMan?? Come on Nintendo, why deprive me of the Blue Bomber? That just isn't fair..

PAL never got the Mega Man Anniversary Collections, so there's still many MANY more Mega Man games available to you than us.

Oh yeah... another update:

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - NES

Only 5 to go before I can play my entire VC collection again :)

Games in EU update 08 Aug 08 (http://www.vc-reviews.com/news/2008/08/eu_vc_update_samurai_shodown_ii) dont state if they support the interlace mode.
Ecco™ Jr.
SAMURAI SHODOWN™ 2
SPLATTERHOUSE™ 2

Not sure if they do or if all does it from now on.
Someone check them please?

Some of the games on my list still don't work. An example is Sonic or Super Mario World. Do I have to delete them and download them again? And will I lose my saved data?

Check the shop for updated for the games you own.
You dont lose savedata (if not you delete it yourself).

I'm running a Wii through a component cable, into a component-vga converter and into an LCD monitor. It works fine on the HDTV setting and Wii Sports looks better than before. But trying to play the old Mario games even when I manage to turn on the interlaced mode it still comes up saying "out of range" on the screen. Does anyone know anything I can do to fix this? It said Nintendo had implemented the interlaced mode as a temporary fix for this problem, does anyone know when there's going to be a permanent fix and if I'm ever going to get the virtual console games working?

Like this?
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/315614
SYMPTOMS
When you start a Microsoft game, you may receive an error message on the display's On Screen Display that resembles one of the following:
Signal out of Range.
Out Of Scan Range
Horizontal frequency is out of range.
Cannot Display This Video Mode Out of Sync

CAUSE
This issue may occur if the signal from the video adapter exceeds the scan range of the monitor. The video adapter setting for updating the screen (the refresh rate) is incompatible with the monitor.

K then your system is not misconfigured (Wii System Settings > Screen > TV Type) but your output device dont support the input.
