Updated to and including post #95. You can check your list of games for accuracy here (http://www.vc-forums.com/showpost.php?p=65158&postcount=5).

Hello! Welcome to the list 'n tally of GB, GBC, & GBA games 'n stuff. Our goal is simple: we want to make a list of the game boy (/color/advance/e-reader) games that forumers own, including as many forumers as possible. The rules are simple as well!

Step 1: Post a complete list of your GB/GBC/GBA games. Please note: I do not have the (very extensive!) Game Boy libraries memorized, so please make some sort of notation indicating which of your games are GB, GBC, GBA, or e-Reader.
Step 2: As your collection changes, post a new (!) post to this thread noting the changes. (Don't edit your old post, please! I'll only be looking at new posts.) Don’t forget to note the games that have left your collection!

If you like, note your native region and which of your games are imports and I will keep track of this on your personal list in post 5. I won’t track your peripherals (such as the gameboy camera) or illegal games (downloads, stolen games, bootlegs), so no need to list those. I am now keeping track of your e-Reader games!

Now, as a great man once said, here we go!

Updated to and including post #95. Please note any corrections that need be made!

Lone Cynic: You mentioned that you have WarioWare amongst your GBA games, but I forgot to ask if you meant WarioWare Inc. or WarioWare: Twisted. Let me know if you could!

· 5 July 2008: Next to your names, I’ve added the region you live in (EU or NA, based off of your profile). If you live in EU and have NA imports, I can mark them for you (as I have for KeeperBvK, who had such a tidy lil’ list). Vice versa.
· 7 July 2008: Lists now separated by GBA, GBC, & GB games (yay customizable bullets).
· 16 Sep 2008: Now listing e-Reader games!

Do you mean FF Legend I (http://www.gamefaqs.com/portable/gameboy/home/563273.html) and FF Legend II (http://www.gamefaqs.com/portable/gameboy/home/585710.html)? Or maybe FF Adventure (http://www.gamefaqs.com/portable/gameboy/home/563272.html)?

Sorry, I should've mentioned; The Legend Series.

Rydia, where was Seiken Densetsu known as Mystic Quest? Europe? Did that not get confused with Final Fantasy: Mystic Quest, or was FF:MQ not released there?

Sorry, I should've mentioned; The Legend Series.NP, thanks!

Rydia, where was Seiken Densetsu known as Mystic Quest? Europe? Did that not get confused with Final Fantasy: Mystic Quest, or was FF:MQ not released there? As per the Final Fantasy wiki (http://finalfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Final_Fantasy_Adventure):
Seiken Densetsu: Final Fantasy Gaiden is a "gaiden" or "spin-off" from the main Final Fantasy series. The title means Holy Sword Legend: Final Fantasy Side Story. It was released on the GameBoy in North America as Final Fantasy Adventure and in Europe as Mystic Quest (not to be confused with Final Fantasy Mystic Quest (http://finalfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Final_Fantasy_Mystic_Quest)). The second game in this series, Secret of Mana was later released on the Super Nintendo.Dunno if FF:MQ was released in Europe or not (the wiki claims it was, a year after NA got it), or what sort of confusion that caused. Seems appropriate, anyway, cuz it's kinda a confusing origin for the Mana series, anyway.

Thanks. ^^
The GB-collection actually is somewhat a new start as I had sold nearly all games back when the GBA launched. :(

Edit: I just saw the Mystic Quest confusion, so I thought I might shed some light on it.
What you in the US know as Final Fantasy Adventure is known as Seiken Densetsu in Japan (hence it's the first game in the Mana series) and as Mystic Quest here in Europe. Then again there is your Final Fantasy Mystic Quest for the SNES which is just called Mystic Quest Legend here in Europe and Final Fantasy USA: Mystic Quest over in Japan.

Should be it. Hopefully they're all in Alphabetical order.Aww, maaaa~n, I just finished updating the list and everything, and then y'had to go and POST.

;]

edit by way of edit: done!
I totally picked up Kwirk at the local EB for about $2. They're clearing out their GB & GBC games, so it's a 25% on top of the Edge discount. I also found another puzzle game on the cheap (Catrap, I get to be a kitty, yay! =n_n=), picked up a Gex game, and a Tiny Toons game that turned out to really be horrible (I was hoping for a platformer, I got junk; I'll probably dissect it for parts).

WHAT!? EB games is getting rid of GB stuff now? First N64 & PS1 and now this. Where are the retro game stores?Well, EB games has never really been a retro gaming store, so I don't find it really shocking. It is sad to see the number of stores stocking retro games on the decline--as much a result of the brand name and presence of stores like EB as the marketplaces found on various internets. Sure, you can find old NeoGeo Pocket games on eBay or Amazon or whatever, but it's really neat to see them in person.

If you live in the Maryland area, there's a really nice retro game store in Glen Burnie called Power Gamer. They've got some imports, too (even import plush!). Elsewise, you can do quite well at yard sales, which are only getting more and more common this time of year. Flea markets will do you...alright...you won't generally find bargains, but you can enjoy browsing games in person.

(Picked up Heianko Alien & Ishido: The Way of the Stones at the mall EB!).

For some reason, I don't think yard sales in my area ever have video games. I always just see the same crap when I go driving by them like old cribs, old clothes, old tables....boring stuff. Unless they have them hidden within the confines of their sale and I'm just not looking hard enough.....

May I suggest reading through this guide (http://wiki.cheapassgamer.com/index.php/Yard_sale_guide)? Pay special attention at the "at the sale (http://wiki.cheapassgamer.com/index.php/Yard_sale_guide#At_the_sale)" bullet (e.g., don't judge a sale from the car, ask the seller if there's any games they don't have on display)

Totally forgot, but as the bottom of that page reminds me, you can find stuff at pawn shops, thrift shops, Goodwill/Salvation Army, and Craigslist. I've found plenty of stuff at GW/Salvation Army/St. Vincent DePaul (like an entire Genesis system, including original hookups & controller--cleaned up very nicely).

If you highlight a list, go to Table: Sort (on my computer, the shortcut is to hit alt then A (for Table) then S (for Sort)). You'll get the option to sort paragraphs (lines) by text in ascending or descending order. Insta-alphabetization!

If MW isn't your program, you can search the help function of your word program to see if sorting is an available function under a similar or different name. "Alphabetize" or "sort" would be likely search terms.

Those pluses next to the number 6.Nah, I never explained (I should have). A double plus next to a number means that game has moved up on the list since the last update, a double minus means it's moved down.

I use ++ and -- so that I can find-and-replace them out of the Word document quickly, without removing actual punctuation that might exist elsewhere.

Out of curiosity, do you not speak Spanish because you moved to Spain from another place, or because you live in one of the regions like Catalonia, where Spanish is just one of the common languages spoken?

Moved to spain from the UK about 4 years ago now. But since I had crappy teachers at school I never really learnt any spanish lol.

And yeah they are both terrible. Sonic 3D Blast 5's controls are just terrible. And Pokemon Diamond is just completly random. Why do you need to phone up your pokemon? lol.

Asterix & Obelix I can't find any information on that game. Can you let me know what kind of game it is (platformer, rpg, shooter, etc.) and, if you know, the developer/publisher info?

Weird. I just found out that the game is called Obelix. The box tells you something else, though:

In the game you also play a lot as Asterix, so it doesn't make sense. Anyway, the developer is Infogrames, it's a platformer and it was only released in Europe in 1995.

Here you go. ;)re Robot Wars (GBA): While looking up info on Robot Wars Advanced Destruction & Robot Wars Extreme Destruction on gamefaqs.com , I wound up at the page for the same game (http://www.gamefaqs.com/portable/gbadvance/data/562023.html) (the one name being the NA release name, the other being the EU release name). Are these two different games you have, or the same game on two different carts, by two different names?

re Castlevania (GBA): Do you mean the first Castlevania that was rereleased on the GBA (the NES Castlevania on GBA, part of the Classic NES/NES Classics series), or the first Castlevania released for the GBA platform in your region?

re Smart Com (GBC): I can't find any information on this game. Could you maybe tell me more about it, or even better, hook me up with a link?

re sister gankage (Wario Land, Game and Watch Gallery): Should I really include those games in your list? I've got them in there now, cuz I assume if you put them in your list you want them there, but for the sake of accuracy, I want to make sure they're actually part of your collection and not "stolen, gone forever, never to be seen again."

Otherwise, you're good to go! ::thumbs up!:: I've updated your list except for the Castlevania game (since I don't know which it is) and Smart Com (since I have no idea what it is, or even if it's a game). Feel free to check over your list in the 5th post of the first page to make sure it's to your liking.

Does that include all the Pokemon e-cards, the Super Mario Advance 4 level cards and the Animal Crossing e-cards? I'm going to assume not and it's just the games, so for now, it's just this (digs for dusty cards):
Manhole (classic version) [don't even know if there is another version for e-reader or not]
Donkey Kong Jr.
Mario Bros.
Pinball
Kirby Slide [a promotional e-card for The FoxBox that has a little game where you slide Kirby tiles around to make his pic. Don't know if this counts or not]

Does that include all the Pokemon e-cards, the Super Mario Advance 4 level cards and the Animal Crossing e-cards?I don't know. Do those work alone, or only with a GB/GBC/GBA/etc game? The e-Reader library is so small, I'm tempted to keep track of all of them, but for consistency's sake I want to leave "accessories" off the list.

What do you think?

Well, the SMA cards only work with the game and the Animal Crossing ones are mainly for use with the Gamecube game as well. As for the Pokemon one, that's a tough one as most of the cards around the time of the e-reader have a strip for the e-reader to read, but only a few of them actually had games on them (like the ones that came with the e-reader). Personally, I'd keep it simple and not track them, but someone may have an arguement against that.

The Castlevania was the first one released on GBA. Believe people complained about this one because they could not see most of the action of the old GBA's screen (Too dark)

There were 2 Robot Wars games on GBA, in the UK at least.

Smart Com was a virtual personal organizer. Not really much of a game, but it did come on a GBC cart...
