I really think a TLoZ:WW remake for Wii would be awesome. To me, WW is the best Zelda yet!

Is that because you like the sea 8) and that because you like OnePeace. :?

I never got into Wind Waker :(
The other 3 3D ones I found brilliant though.

I played Wind Waker before I watched/read One Piece! I just think it is the best. And yes, I like the sea. :P

I really do like TWW in every way apart from the shortness on the game, it should be as long as TP. Otherwise I think it's still too early for a remake of it, wait for the next Nintendo Console and hope that they also remakes OOT :D

I disagree with the whole concept of remaking a Zelda to be honest. I personally believe that the game should fully move forward and onto new ideas instead of implementing some minor updates to an old game.

From what I've seen at the moment the market has been given remakes that don't make sense (Ninja Gaiden and the hilariously short Chronicles of Riddick) I just don't want to see Nintendo getting all tied up in revamping something when there is much more scope to expand the concept of Zelda and make the series even better by injecting some new lease of life.

Remember.. the Wii still hasn't seen it's very own Zelda game yet, I don't know about the majority here but I'd rather see where they take the franchise with a new Wii only edition rather than remaking one of their old games. Perhaps, the only Zelda game I wouldn't mind THAT much if they remade would be ALTTP... but even so, it still would have the exact same story, characters and basic structure so in that respect I'd still prefer a new one.

I agree with Makeda, Wind Waker shouldn't be remade.
I do think though it's my favourite Zelda game, and I found the sailing sections to be great and relaxing. I thought the length was just right - I've been struggling to finish Twilight Princess (I just don't have the motivation anymore to do HUGE quests).

I like the fact that Nintendo seem to have adopted the Wind Waker style for the not-quite-proper Zeldas (that is, the handheld ones and Four Swords Adventures spring to mind) and more adult style for the big adventures.
Having said that, there will be no more Zeldas like Twilight Princess or Wind Waker or Ocarina of Time, so who knows what direction the true Wii Zelda will bring?

Reading so many people sharing my opinion, I HAVE to say mine.

What are you going to expect from a remake of WW?
Every remake (which makes sense after at least 10 years of the original release date) has to be an improvement of the original.
These improvements can be basically reduced to 2 aspects.
- Gameplay
- Technology

Lets's start with the first one:
Zelda is the same game from OOT to TP. Miyamoto already stated years ago (at the beginning of TP development) that TP wpuld have been the LAST Zelda of this kind. Making another WW will be useless if the next Zelda is totally (and finally) "NEW".

Tech issue: WW is one of the finest looking games ever, graphics is very simple but effective, so it is difficult to improve it keeping the same feeling, and changing it a lot (say:realistic, TP style) would be like destroying its predominant feature.
Music score is one of the most touching experience in gaming.

A perfect example of a good and very welcomed remake is Metroid:Zero Mission. As for WW (and for quite the same reasons) a remake of Super Metroid would be useless, it's already perfect.

While I agree with you Neuzd I'm unsure about the final point you made.
I'm personally in a anti-remake mode at the present time but if I wasn't I would definitely say that a 2D game such as Super Metroid should get a 3D revamp as that would be sweet and it make people like myself who only ever got a chance to play Metroid when it came out on the GC feel more in touch with Super Metroid (for the record: I'm buying this the moment I have cash to do so on VC)

I couldn't either. Its the only Zelda game I didn't enjoy playing.

Funny, because I think it's the worst.

How odd. Especially since the graphics were the only good thing about that game and that was why everyone slated it. Irony is a fickle *****.

Saying you don't like it is a personal opinion. Saying everyone slated it is being contentious for the hell of it, and simply an erroneous statement.

I direct you to the following pages: here (http://gamerankings.com/htmlpages2/469050.asp) and here (http://www.metacritic.com/games/platforms/cube/legendofzeldathewindwaker).

A 95% and 96% average score is about as far from "everyone" slating it as you can get. Therefore, it appears your personal opinion remains just that

I've decided once my GCSE's are over, I'll make myself play it and complete it :P (although I'll probably still stop at the usual 2nd dungeon point)

One criticism that can certainly be levelled at Wind Waker is that it's fairly easy, so you'll surely get past the second dungeon. But it's also probably the Zelda with the most overworld interaction so far, Twilight Princess included. Just soooooo much stuff to do, just sailing around, exploring the different islands and soaking it in. It can be truly transcendent at times.

I got to the fifth before I stopped... and that was because I was a little cheater back then and AR messed it up. I plan on restarting as well sometime this summer vacation.

@iNma: It is a quite easy Zelda game huh?

I agree with InMa, it is too easy...but then again, so are all the 3D zelda's

I fell in love with windwaker...prob the best looking game for GC.

However, i doubt there will be a remake...and I'm more than certain they are already plotting the next zelda title

I am excited for the RE4 remake though : )

oh yeah...and neuzd...ur posts are like books

While I liked the game, all that sailing wore me out after some time. Still finished it, but it's never a good sign when a game (even if it's only a part) becomes more chore than fun.

I'm still puzzled why they chose to make the volcano the first dungeon (at least I think it was - been a while), since graphically it was the most beautifully done dungeon in the entire game.

I think wind waker is an excellent game, but you cant possibly think it is better than ocarina of time or majoras mask :x

I think it's certainly better than Majora's Mask. Not Ocarina, though... that would take some beating.

I really think a TLoZ:WW remake for Wii would be awesome. To me, WW is the best Zelda yet!

I've been trying to get on a damn laptop for ages now. So that I could post this.

In this month's Nintendo Power, there's an interview with Eiji Aonuma, in which he gets chatty about Zelda. One thing that's got me interested is he mentions he'd love to do a remake of Wind Waker on the Wii.

Shiggy has already stated that making remakes of certain GCN games for the Wii would be something Nintendo might do more of....... zzzz...

I found it on an old site I used to hang about on alot, and the guy who posted it knows his stuff.

Wii browser may be free (As long as you downloaded it before July the 1st) but I wish it has a copy and paste function.

I would hate to see this style of Zelda die with WW (Phantom Hourglass is a handheld title and doesn't count). I certainly hope they make another Zelda game with this graphical style.

I loved the art style as well. Frankly, it'd be much better if they were to make a completely new game. A rehash wouldn't be too great.

Cell-shading = comic fans wet dream (as long as the gameplay rocks...which with WW it most certainly does).

Jet Set Radio on the DC got me back to passionate about gaming after a bit of a stint away...

Ironic you should mention that. Cracked it open again the other day, and I'd totally forgotten what a stunning piece of work it is. Working my way through it now. I've never played Jet Set Radio Future, but it's a game I've always wanted to have a go at.
