Are PS3 games region compatible like 360?

Just wondered, no reason.

If I'm not totally mistaken the PS3 is region free.

Wouldn't suprise me if the european one wasn't :/

Yes, PS3 is completely region-free :)

Not all 360 games are though.

PS3 is region free for PS3 games. PS2 games are still region-controlled, of course.

Your all wrong, on the back of the EU PS3 boxes it says region 2

So that means that the PS3 games aren't region-free? Just because it says what region the disc is released/manufactured in doesn't mean that it will only work there.

Yes but when a game has a region on the back of it and such that is what it means

Sektor, I've had my PS3 since February, and still haven't even found any domestic games worth buying on it yet sadly enough. Once an import worth buying comes out, I'll be the guinni pig, order it, and test it out for you, ok? :D

As far as i heard all PS3 games are region free. Not all Xbox 360 games are region free sadly.

You know Boxart and things like that change from region to region. They probably have to put that there for shipping purposes.

The PS3 is indeed region free, my mate bought Rock Band (disc only) and it worked on his european console :D

Dang, and there are some great Japanese 360 games. Is there a list of which are and are not region-free?

So, the PS3 is PSOne B/C, has built-in WiFi, and is Region-Free. At least the thing won't cost me a fortune.

Just because of it being region free, you can't stop the monstrosity and awesomeness of the PS3 from stealing your wallet today (*end jingle*).
