Yes, Final Fantasy and Metal Gear are helping Sony to sell more units. My question is, will this last enough to surpass DS sales? Is the DS taking back it's crown next weeks?
I want to know what you think about this.

I can't see the PSP beating the DS anytime soon. Phantom Hourglass is just around the corner after all :D

The PSP would appeal to me if it hadn't such ridiculously long loading times, even with the new slim edition.

Do note that the PSP also has God of War coming up.

The PSP....Sony could have done a lot better with this one. While it has a few gems with its games, the main problem I have with it is that it's still more of a multimedia device rather than a gaming device. Most of its good games are re releases of other games. While the DS and GBA do this as well, it's not as if those are the only good games for those systems.
PSP is getting Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep though. While we DS owners get Kingdom Hearts 365/2.....well, it's certainly not gonna be as cool as BbS.
(Also, PSP control problem: no second analog stick. Ugh)

I traded my PSP in yesterday, it had no real brilliant games and it was a piece of crap compared to the DS in my eyes =P

I want Sega MD collection...
Then again, that's also on PS2. Which I'm still unsure about getting.

Orz, you should of gotten that YEARS ago.. but now would be a great time to start, I play my PS2 way more than my Wii tbh.
But on topic: The recent sales for the PSP have been great and I'm happy for the system.. I still need to pick up one and a DS sometime, but there's a bunch of more important stuff for me to get first ^u^. I'll probably buy a PSP when Tactics/Crisis core come out.. the same goes for the DS - crisis core ofc

As far as I'm aware, the DS is miles ahead in terms of sales, so the PSP would have to have a long period of consistent sales success to overtake it. People are still queueing in Japan to buy a DS and they've been out years.

The little engine that could. Well, it did help that Nintendo had no real competitor to worry about in the handheld market for more than a decade.
Getting any system, handheld or console, for just one game is ludicrous, in my opinion.
