1: How many points do you think they would be? What would you pay for em?
2: What games would you like to see?
3: Anything else on the matter?

I would add some questions.
How much time are you supposed to wait to download a game?
Where are you supposed to store them?
From where are you supposed to play them?

Maybey downloading them onto CD's would work, I know it sounds silly but that way you can download games that are really hard to get in stores (e.g. Chibi-Robo). Also, I would pay 2500 Wii Points for Sonic Adventure 2 Battle

-They would take forever to download
-They might not even be able to be downloaded as they are on discs and not cartridges
-Not being able to save games
That's why Nintendo made Wii backward compatible.

the only dumb questions are those left unasked.
so don't be such a knob end just because you happen to know something someone else dose not.

Going by that logic the only dumb statements are those left unspoken.
There are dumb questions.
but anyway
I think Cube games on Wii would be cool but we'd need a Hard-drive, bearing in mind 1000 points is £5, I'd say 2500 tops for Gamecube game that is released before 2007, any this year could be 3000-3500

It would never happen with the Wii, but you could see it on the next system, or the one after that, but anyway I'll answer these questions to go with if they would ever come to a new system in the future.
1)If it's next system or 2 systems down the road, I would say at least 2000 points either way. I probably would not spend anything over 1500 points for a downloadable GCN game.
2)As for games, I would love to see them all, but most likely you will see mostly just 1st and 2nd party titles
3)If they ever would put the Gamecube games out, I would want it to be similar to what they are doing with the Wii Ware, as in give some games like SSBM online.

well First of all It would at least be 3000 points (30$) And 1 game would take up the rest of your memory on your wii. But It would be cool. If any thing close to the cube comes out it will be the gba.

It's bad enough waiting for old faves to come to the VC as it is, withoutthem being delayed further by games we could buy in the shops....

1) About 2500-3000 (more likely the later)
2) Games which are a) hard to find/buy b) are generally regarded as good games, and c) which I haven't got. already.
3) The only logical game on the Cube that this would work for is Ikaruga: as it only takes up 18MB anyway (BTW: this information is written down in Edge Magazine's 100 Best videogames special).

Yeah, Ikaruga is the game on Cube I never found.
It's damn rare.. but I wouldn't hope for Cube games on VC.
I'm always lookin out for Ikaruga in every game shop.

There's another crazy game, but it never came to EU.
US people know it as Cubivore. It was developed by Saru Brunei.
The Gamecube version was published by Atlus in US.
The N64 version Doubutsu Banchou aka Animal Leader was published by Nintendo in JP
and never saw a release in the west at all.
I'm hoping for the N64 version in the next Hanabi Festival.

1: How many points do you think they would be? What would you pay for em? - I'd say that they would be 1500 points, that's about £12 which is just £5 off the RRP of the Player's Choice games.
2: What games would you like to see? - Just what would be expected, Wind Waker, Metroid Prime, Mario Kart, Mario Sunshine, Melee, Fire Emblem, Pokemon Colosseum, Pokemon XD.
3: Anything else on the matter? - The only way I could see Nintendo doing this is if they offered a free Wii-only external HDD ala Wii Remote Straps and Jackets.

If they started doing that, I'd buy a Harddrive, But games would be pretty big, It takes me at least 5 mins to download an N64 game, so That'd be pretty bad for download speed, shops don't really sell Gamecube games anymore, so this would be cool, also I could finally get Paper Mario Thousand year old door

I see your point but... why would they do that? Thats what they made the backwards compatibility for.

I see your point but... this is a 7+ month old thread and the point you raised had already been covered.

It'd save time but yeah it's alright.
It's just a little funny to see a thread randomly ressurected from the dead like that
