Okay, I'm done with the caps. Anymultipleways, including the collection for World Heroes, King of Fighters and samurai showdown, this year, we're gonna see one of the best and cheapest Neo Geo collections ever. Stolen blatantly from IGN:
Art of Fighting - the first game in SNK's second fighting-game franchise, set in the same universe as Fatal Fury
Baseball Stars 2 - a baseball game (not set in space)
Burning Fight - New York detectives battle organized crime in this side-scrolling brawler
Fatal Fury - first released in 1991, Fatal Fury introduced the two-plane fighting system.http://ps2media.ign.com/ps2/image/article/846/846569/snk-arcade-classics-volume-1-20080118050024734.jpgBurning Fight

King of Fighters '94 - the original
King of the Monsters - off-brand Godzilla
Last Resort - a horizontal shooterhttp://ps2media.ign.com/ps2/image/article/846/846569/snk-arcade-classics-volume-1-20080118050026780.jpgKing of the Monsters

Magician Lord - a magical platformer
Metal Slug - you know it, you love it
Neo Turf Masters - SNK's second golf game
Samurai Shodown - 2D blade fighting
Sengoku - side-scrolling brawler set in feudal Japan
Shock Troopers - in this run-and-gun adventure, players save a scientist and his granddaughter from the Bloody Scorpions
Top Hunter - side-scrolling action starring Bounty hunters Roddy and Cathyhttp://ps2media.ign.com/ps2/image/article/846/846569/snk-arcade-classics-volume-1-20080118050028624.jpgShock Troopers

Super Sidekicks 3 - soccer
World Heroes - 2D fighter starring historical figures in a tournament enabled by time travelThis game is currently unanounced in Europe.

Good stuff indeed, and only volume one! It's probably only going to be about 20 or 30 dollars, too. I'm definitely going to get it.

Meh, all of it is either too violent for my age or is a sport game, I don't like Sport games

Most of the games are released on the VC already.

Is it safe to say, the games we didn't have on VC will be the next ones to appear?
I think the chances are very high.

The compilation has all the games that are available on VC plus these:

Burning Fight
King of the Monsters
Last Resort
Metal Slug
Neo Turf Masters
Samurai Shodown (safe bet as it's available in JP)
Sengoku
Shock Troopers
Super Sidekicks 3

It is much cheaper with all these games on it.
If you download them on VC you could maybe only get 4 or 5 games for the same money.
I say, get this compilation, save money and Wii memory.
Makes the whole point of Neo Geo supporting the VC pointless.

Cool, But I'd recommend just getting the Metal Slug Anthology for the Wii (or PSP, or PS2 for that matter) I mean, the Neo Geo was FULL of fighting games, and not alot of them were actually that good, also most of them blatantly ripped off Street Fighter, whilst, not a bad thing in any way, it did lead to extreme market saturation. How many of those games are fighters?

Though Shock Troopers looks okay, might get it if it comes to the VC, but I'd need to find out more about it.

This collection isn't coming out for the Wii. It's for the PS2. There's been several discs released recently for most of the major Neo Geo franchises (Fatal Fury, Art of Fighting, etc).

Nice. Hopefully we'll see a sequal to this with Sengoku 2 or 3 and Aero Fighters 2 in the future.

I still rather just buy them on the VC since I don't actually care for ALL of them.

Plus, the lack of Twinkle Star Sprites make this compilation a big fat FAIL anyway.

Makes the whole point of Neo Geo supporting the VC pointless.Exactly, it's just like the Mega Drive collection on PS2. Even if it's PS2 only you could save money if you bought a PS2 to play it.

SNK Arcade Classics Volume 1 is coming out July 8th for 29.99. This means that for a little more than the cost of buying 3 VC games, you can get 16. I'm glad I haven't bought any Neo Geo VC games yet! :)
