I've been trying to remember the name of a NES game I used to play for a while now, but to no avail. If anyone remembers the game I'm about to describe, please be sure to let me know what it is.

The cartridge sticker has a guy in shades staring out of the picture at you; IIRC, the guy is shadowed and completely blue. The first level is a completely blue city level, and I believe it's isometric ala Double Dragon, but more restricted. A later level (I'm pretty sure it was the second level, actually) is completely orange/red, and I think inside a building. IIRC, the orange level has robots in it to fight.

And... that's all I remember. Sorry if I was a bit vague... But I'd really appreciate it if someone knew what game it was I was on about. I wouldn't have played it for nearly 7 or 8 years now, and it's been bugging me for a while. Cheers!

Double Dragon wasn't Isometric so that doesn't really help. Can you remember more details on the actual gameplay? like what style/genre of game was it? etc

I suppose I should have worded my original post better... what I meant by isometric, was that you could go not only left and right, but up and down too in a similar manner to Double Dragon.

I'm pretty sure it was an action game, I can't remember what you actually had to do, though. = / Ugh... this sucks. The only other thing I can recall is there was a large crate in the blue level, on an elevated platform. But I don't think it could be destroyed; it was just another platform to jump on.

Yeah unfortunately that doesn't narrow it down especially with NES games coz there're hundreds like that.

By the way Isometric means it's on a diagonal/pseudo 3d viewpoint, for example the game Equinox on snes, or the Last Ninja trilogy on the old c64.

I'll try to remember that. ;) Thanks. (Actually, Equinox doesn't look that bad...)

I'm not sure what's worse... the fact that there actually was a game called that, or the fact that I looked it up. lmao But yeah, I do wish I could remember the title of the freaking game! Urgh... well, I remembered RoboWarrior after several years, I guess I could remember this eventually. = / Maybe.

Equinox is great, it's the sequel to a NES game called Solstice which is basically a clone of an old game called Head Over Heals. Tough as hell though if you want a challenge definitely play it - the music is by Tim Follin too and it's absolutely brilliant.

Sweet Mother of God... I remembered it! And it's so ironic... Total Recall. XD I loved that game, I saw it on Seanbaby's website (oddly enough, I thought to myself: I wonder if he considered it crap, and put it up there?). The background of one of the gameplay images was enough to make me jump in surprise, and rush off to see images at GameFAQs. And there was Arnie... I always thought that it was him.

Yay! I'm happy! That's the game I've been trying to remember for years! :D (But then again, Seanbaby seems to think of it as crap... then again, I liked Barbie, so we clearly have different tastes. Yes, you heard me; Barbie was the first game I ever beat by myself. = P I'm not ashamed. I will be though, once all this hyperactivity wears off.) Whee!!!

(Now Ninty just has to put it up on the Virtual Console... >_<)

Congrats! Total Recall was a pretty hilarious movie. I wonder why it was so hard for you to remember the game.

A while back, I had the hardest time remembering Neutopia and Dragon's Curse, but their release on the VC is what reminded me (I thought "That's the game I played when I was a kid!").

Thanks. = D

Anyhoo... I've got another game I'm struggling to remember the name of. It's a compilation of Donkey Kong, Donkey Kong Jr. and some weird top-down racing game. I looked up "Donkey Kong Classics", as that sounds pretty close to what I thought it was, but it doesn't include the racing game. If anyone knows the game I'm referring to, I'd appreciate your help. I'm fairly sure it was a liscensed game...

Speaking of unliscensed games, has anyone ever seen this four-in-one game? It's got Sidewinder, Duck Maze and two other games that I can't recall. The cartridge is pretty odd, too; black, with teeth on both the top and the bottom of the cart instead of just the bottom. You'd need to plug another game into the top of the cartidge in order to get it working properly. Am I correct in thinking this game is 4-Way? I'd look up images on Google, but I'm afraid of what I might find... = /

Edit: Ah, I found out what that 4-in-1 game was called, too. 4 in 1 Fun Pack (>_>), which had Duck Maze, Sidewinder, Othello and Pac-Man in it. Which is odd, because I thought I had an actual copy of Pac-Man too... maybe I had a real copy and this version. = / Actually, I think I did. Yay for nostalgia!

The same thing happened to me when I was trying to find this one game my dad used to have before he died. I found out in January that it was Last Battle after looking through wikipedia. Funny thing was the only things I remembered about it was the box art, tons of axes flying, the guy tears off his shirt, and the green midget who threw balls at you and on top of that its pretty much a 14 year old memory.
