What are your gaming habbits?

I like a drink and junk food to be accessable. And depehding on the game, i'll have my iPod on blaring metal :D

Oh, I like my inhaler near and Paracetamol Codeines, but that's 'cause i'm Asthmatic and i'm prone to headaches XD

Usually only a drink, though junk food is preferable. I don't really listen to anything but the game's music.

I don’t drink or eat anything because I don’t like pausing in the middle of a level.

Gaming habits? I guess for me it used to be to stuff my face with junk food first and then play the game for 7 hours straight without moving or blinking....

Not very healthy but I'm working on it!

Are they in any way related to Hobbits? =P

The occasional tea or apple juice. Eating while playing usually doesn't work out too well, so I usually don't do that, unless it's a turn-based game a la Fire Emblem.

The only thing I ever listen to while playing is the actual game music/sound, with the exception of games like Picross and Puzzle Quest where the music just drives me bonkers after a while. In that case, I tend to play without sound. Besides that, no other distractions.

I used to play Paper Mario with a little bag o' almonds. That was it. And then the almonds ran out. Occasionally I bring a glass of water to the gaming area but, that's it now.

I listen to game music and game music only when I'm playing a game. Either that or nothing.

I always have a film on in the background when I'm on my DS, I hardly ever watch one without my DS. I love the combo

I also really like to have chocolate, cola and milkshake (Frijj) to hand when I'm gaming, especially if I'm playing a brand new game.
No wonder I'm putting on weight >_<

i like to have either a cup of tea, a beer or a pint of dr pepper while im playing.

i used to eat as well. by contorting my grip, i have even been able to eat with a knife and fork on ever console. but he Wii has me beat. i have to actually put down the controller to grab a mouthful during dialog and cut scenes.

i have my laptop playing dvds while i game. generally half hour programs like king of the hill or peep show. they help me not to lose track of time while gaming. '2 episodes of peepshow. dinner should be cooked by know'

Yes, that's how it starts *Fat Guy Evil Laugh*. I do too (With the Movie/T.V and games), it drives people bonkers "Either play the DS or watch the T.V, you can't do both"...

"Well actually, I can and am. I'm killing some Metroids now and Homer's just ran into the room branding a Butcher Knife screaming "BART LETME CUTYOU A BROWNIE!!!". Any other questions? No? Then sod off and let me watch/play"

Ok, so some people Smoke after sex, you smoke after winning 50 online Derby's on Flatout Ultimate Carnage

*Sips A Bud* True, True. QFT 100% TRUTH!

Wii sucks for eating and gaming can make you lost track o' time. Credit sequences help me too, because then I have to take a break to set up the next ep and look at the time (Rather than waiting the 10 seconds it takes to auto load the next ep ).

I've recently had to switch from my Milkshake, Coke and Chocolate to Diet Coke and a small WeighWátchers bar or something =[

I suppose it's for the best in the end.. I don't wanna end up at 20 stone!

(Ignore the accent, without it the word sensor found a word it dissagree's with.)

I don't usually eat or drink while playing games, that way you have to stop playing every so often to eat something, so I don't do that.

I never drink alcohol while playing games, I find that just like you shouldn't drink and drive, drinking decreases your ability to play games, so I give that a miss or else I can't play as well!

I always listen to the in-game soundtrack, never anything else. Apart from the fact that I like to play a game with the music it was intended to be played with, I actually really like a lot of the in-game music (depending on the game of course).

Hmm my preferred items:A beverage of some sort:Coke, hot tea, or beer. Herbal essences:not the shampoo. And a pack of smokes.

After that I just need a comfortable place to sit, preferrably my computer chair and thats all I need. I usually always listen to the in game music so I get the original feel thats intended when I play a certain game. However, if its a game where the the music has been severely dated (in particular some 8-bit or 16-bit games) or I've heard the music through and through I will throw some of my own tunes on. Thats pretty much it in a nutshell not too much else goes into my gaming habit besides, well, gaming.

Well not only that but its takes loads of time and dedication to keep my hair this silky smooth. I actually condition and let it soak while I game then pour some of that orgasm in a bottle they call herbal essences for men before I go to bed. No water necessary. Its amazing. I let it soak while I sleep then just wake up and go.You mean everybody doesnt do this? Showers are for chumps as Homer says I'm more of a cologne man.Weakest attempt to be funny...probably ever.

Ha well thanks for humoring me anyway.

I wasn't. I did actually find it funny.

I like ramblings like that, I find them quite humourous.

It's like on the Simpons when Homer's rambling on about Marge not letting him sleep in the room with her because of the gun. So then Lisa shouts at him for keeping her awake and he starts rambling some more about "No good kids trying to tell me what to do in my house, why I tell you..."

Because there's the humouress ramble, and then there's the normal ramble. Where people ramble on and on and on (Like I'm doing now) for no reason.

Depending on the game, I may listen to music. I like to have something to drink, water, coke, tea, ect.

I eat occasionally but it's hard to manage on a lot of games.

I don't really have any, not that i can think of, off the top of my head.

I suppose being comfortable is about it for me, although if it's a brand new game, that I've been craving for awhile, Such as Metroid prime 3, Smash bros, or a new Zelda game, then I'll normally have to have food + drinks on hand.

Oh. And I always listen to the in-game music, as i think listening to anything else while playing a game(specifically If it's my first play though on a game) ruins the games set atmosphere and surroundings.

None anymore, but when i was a lot younger i use to have a habbit of moving with the controller.

Example : in a racing game when i wanted to turn right, i use to have a habbit of tilting my body right. :(

My brother does that and it's bloody annoying to sit next to.

So did you and him come up with motion controls?

I don't think I really have any game habits. I've experimented with listening to my CD player (I don't have an mp3 player yet, lol) while playing, though I found I can rarely progress in a game that way. So I basically stick with the game's music (which isn't bad considering some games have fantastic soundtracks).

Ah! Gaming, nothing goes over a Big Screen, Loud Speakers, a good game and a Coke / Rivella.
Problem, I do not have a Big Screen yet, but at least a real confortable chair.

I do not listen to any other Music while playing games, but there was an occasion I had the F-Zero (SNES) soundtrack running in the background, but that was because Tube Sliders (GC) soundtrack was ultra bad.

And as a rule: If the Soundtrack sucks for I game, I tend to avoid it (Never played Tube Sliders again).

I usually have the Laptop in front of me, feet up on the table and sometimes have music on, but it can be hard to play a game without listening to it's music 8-)

Always used to do that when I was much younger :D Don't any more, thankfully :)

Well, Not so much anymore. I can play perfectly fine without it closed now, But when I was younger I would close the door.

Lights down low, sound up high and a glass of milk and some chocolate does the trick for me  Or sometimes a different drink/snack combo.

Sometimes I'll grab a Nestea but not all the time and drink it during breaks like cutscenes and load times for example. Once in a while I'll have a DVD in my laptop and have that run in the background.

When I'm ready to hunker down to a good chunk of gaming, I curl up on the couch with my DS.

In front of the couch is the TV, and the first thing I do is turn it on and mute it. Then I turn on the Wii, bring up the Internet Channel, and bring up Gamefaqs.com.

To the side of the couch is a CD player/stereo. I tend to rely on a game's sound effects, so I only play music to puzzle games like Picross, which have extremely annoying, repetitive music...that you can turn off without turning off the sound effects. I'll also mute the sound to some older VC games if I'm playing them for longer sessions, and pop in a favorite CD.

Within hand's reach, I keep the TV remote, a Wii remote, a kleenex box, and the DS charger. All DS and GBA games, as well as extra styluses, can be accessed by simply standing up (and opening a drawer or two). Sometimes I'll keep the nunchuk and/or classic controller, if I think I might take a break from DSin' for some Wii gaming.

I usually have a drink of some kind nearby, within hand's reach (read: on the floor) if it's something I will drink quickly or in a bottle with a lid. If it's something I will sip at over time, I'll place it on the nearby shelf, where I can't knock it over after forgetting about it (used to be a problem, good thing I usually drink water).

I only keep food nearby if it's something I can eat without my hands touching it--say, dry cereal in a cup. This is because I always wash my hands between eating and using electronics equipment, so I just avoid bringing certain foods over toward the gaming area.

Ok this when I play my DS.

In my room, I got this big nice comfy chair that must have been in my family for 15 years. In front of it is a floor stool that is slightly smaller than a school desk. and then to a 76 degree angle, is my TV. When i play DS, for some reason, I have to have my TV on, or else everything else seams to quiet. So I curl up on my chair, and put either half of my feet on the foot rest, or cross my legs on the foot stool, or make a 90 degree turn, and rest my legs on the side on my couch, allowing me to turn my head slightly to the left to see the TV. So then I turn my DS up so the there's about a millimeter of space left to turn the volume up. then I take my left thumb, and rest it on the space underneath the bottom screen, then with my last four fingers of my left hand, I will put them on the back out my DS, about half way up to be exact. then with my right hand, I would hold the stylus like I would hold a pencil, but I would support the right side of the DS with my two bottom fingers. I would then hold the DS about 27cm away from my face, and then I would play.

With Wii, I don't do much. I would just get a good grip of the wiimote, and depending on the game, I would either stand up, or sit on the comfy couch and play with my feet on the foot stool. I never turn on any other music for when playing wii games. Really since I only have Brawl, I would sit in an upwards position, with wiimote in right hand, nunchuck in left. I will then keep my hands about 12cm away from each other. Then obviously i will look at the screen. as Brawl is suck an intense game, I will usually sack the wiimote slightly because all of the button smashing that is occurring at the moment. And because my hands are close together, i keep my arms tight together too.

I guess those are my gaming habits, and like most people I hum along to some of the good songs too. =p
